---"The United States Postal Service (USPS) is in financial disarray, with plummeting levels of mail being sent and heathcare costs for retirees increasing, according to a report released Thursday by an investigative arm of Congress."
--- The report says the PO “has not been able to cut costs fast enough to offset the accelerated decline in mail volume and revenue.”
---"The USPS is experiencing its largest percentage decline in mail sent since the severe drop it took during the Great Depression...."
---"The decline is expected to result in a net loss of $7 billion, with total outstanding debt levels reaching $10.2 billion,..."


"I just had the idea of looking at the statistics for the Post Office, and I found out that the entire deficit for 2008 would have been covered by charging 48 cents for each first class letter rather than 45 cents. What would FedEx or UPS charge? (Not to say that I think all of the shortfall should be covered by first class mailings, but the numbers were so compelling that I stopped right there.)

Even today, the Post Office could turn a multibillion dollar profit by charging only 55 cents per letter. Can private companies even come close? If they ran it like a real busines, they would use their competitors as a guild of what the market will bear and say, raise the cost to 80 cents. When the howls of anger erupt, they could say they'll reconsider when their competition starts delivering letters for 79 cents....
If the postal service raised the price on each piece of mail by 11 cents, they would achieve a 25% net profit on operations. By the way, that includes over 10% of gross receipts held aside for retirement benefits, meaning these people will not burden social security or Medicare at retirement.

To qualify for 5x a week pickup, you'd need two or more pieces or packages. Pickup would only be when receiving mail, otherwise. Forget Saturdays. That costs extra, same as with FedEx. I personally live in a remote area that has delivery only 3 times a week, M_W_F, and for non-business addresses it wouldn't be that big a deal to adjust.

FedEx and UPS does not want the door to door delivery...they want your packages. They wouldn't touch the newspaper,junk bulk, and odd shaped envies with a ten foot pole! FedEx or UPS could NOT compete with 58 cent letter delivery costs nor would they want to.

The USPS is the only one doing what they are doing and they have the best systems in place to get the job done. Not many high volume businesses I can think of can handle a decline in volume without showing a loss, but what the hey, let's have it turn a profit! Raise that stamp to 75 cents and leave the package rates alone. Let the people and businesses adjust and rethink what is important to send down the road. Run the Post Office as a business!

What's Next with Obama???

Obama reiterates his support for amnesty!

President Obama has restated his intention to provide an amnesty for illegal aliens. Speaking in Mexico, Obama said he wants to give "an opportunity for those who are already in the United States to be able to achieve a pathway to citizenship so they don't have to live in the shadows."

Health Care is one Pathway. The big push for Health Care Reform is not so much about changing the insurance structure and curbing Costs. It's about the UNinsured. It's about the millions of illegal's that have been accessing OUR hospitals and clinics on the 'free' ticket. If the 'free' food stamps and other HHS benefits aren't enough, strapping every State Gov's infrastruture to the point of bankruptcy, then I say there's a cheaper way to fix it! Obama wants to Fund the system by changing How and How Much the tax paying citizens are going to finance this health care for ALL. If he wants to allow amnesty to lawbreakers so that Democrats have 'some' voters in the next election....He does NOT need to do it at the expense of changing our fundemental Lifestyles and one of the BEST medical systems in the world.

If Obama wants to ask us citizens to finance the Enforcement of our Immigration LAWS....I think he can get Huge Support and the snitch hot-lines to the .Gov sight would be hot with all the leads he needs.

(and when the H1N1 runs rampunt this Fall, he will say, "we should have passed the Health CAre Bill" instead of addressing how we should have beefed up Border Security and protected American Citizens...which IS the JOB of the Government. Mark my words....)

While struggles over health care and the economy have delayed efforts to push the amnesty bill, Obama said he planned to have language for an immigration bill drafted this year and pass the measure next year.

Just Say No!

That's OK....he gave us back the 'word' all school teachers for YEARS have tried to erase from every child's vocabulary.
He used the word in reference to law enforcement, without doing his homework first. Opinion first...Facts later.

Which is a very telling sign that there are MANY statements and decisions based on lack of truth, research, constitutional law or concern for the future outcome. The numbers projected in every speech he has ever given, affirmed as fact, have not come even close. How many things does he have to get wrong before people lose faith in this guy???

At this point, let's take up a new motto coined by our law enforcement friends...

A Threat to the Average American?

Civilian Resettlement Facilitys?
An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an "Internment/Resettlement" specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on "threatening" conservatives.


The ads, at the GoArmy.com website as well as others including Monster.com, cite the need for:

"Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists in the Army are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. I/R Specialists provide rehabilitative, health, welfare, and security to U.S. military prisoners within a confinement or correctional facility; conduct inspections; prepare written reports; and coordinate activities of prisoners/internees and staff personnel."

The campaign follows by only weeks a report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warning about "right-wing extremists" who could pose a danger to the country – including those who support third-party political candidates, oppose abortion and would prefer to have the U.S. immigration laws already on the books enforced.

Populartity is NO Way to Judge a Man

In the weeks and months leading up to the 2008 election, the Obama logo was everywhere. It was more a fashion accessory than it was a political statement.

Face it. This time last year, it was "cool" to like Obama.

You didn't need to understand a lick about who he was, where he was from, why he was so popular, or what he believed in. All you needed was that logo pinned onto your messenger bag, or drawn on your t-shirt with red and blue Sharpies, and you were "in".

To speak critically of the man, this "Chosen One", was the most surefire way of getting get oneself excommunicated from the cool kids' table in the cafeteria.

Fast forward to July 2009.

These polling numbers have got to be triggering some serious trouser dumpage in the White House. The more the People learn about this fraudulent administration, and the purely socialistic ideology driving it, the more it's becoming "cool" to not like Obama.

And, that can only be a good thing. However, be warned...

Any measure of optimism you take from these recent polling results must be tempered with an equal or greater amount of vigilance.

If the tidal wave of public opinion and blind adoration that swept Obama into office has, in fact, crested and is on the verge of crashing on the rocks below, look out. It's going to get ugly.

If these numbers continue to trend the way they're doing now, it spells bad news for the Chicagobama Regime, and good news for the future of the United States of America - the key word being "trend", as in trendy.


These people are not going to go down quietly.

I shudder to think about what kind of strategy the Emanuel/Axelrod machine is cooking up to keep their power structure intact.

Looking Forward to ObamaCare

The reason it is imperative for the Democrats and Obama to make sure this Health Care Plan passes, on the heels of their outrageous “stimulus” package, bank bailout and GM buyout, is that they are running out of money.

Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population and soon, upon retirement, they will end their tax producing years and put a huge strain on the Social Security System. With 40 million fewer children today, there are fewer paying into the Social Security system to reimburse those eligible to receive their portion.
This is one of the reasons behind the hidden provisions in this very dangerous health care bill. AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE ILLEGALS.... Nancy and Barack want to 'take care' of them too, for they are the future Democratic VOTERS.

We have seen this type of dictatorial behavior in the past, when one segment of society has determined itself to be more worthy of life than the rest. We have a choice to go the way of failed, deadly, socialist nations, or to let our voices be heard.

Urban Survivalist on the Today show 07/21/09. Talking about prepping, but they still called it 'hording' in the intro. What do you expect for liberal media. If they don't agree with it, they mock it. You know toward the end they were not as negative as I thought they would be. I'm just glad they didn't have the more extreem bunker type on there. They simply made the case for storing for a economic downturn or collapse.

Why do they always have to fall back to that three days worth of food thing in the end? Three days doesn't motivate anyone to do anything. Most people figure they have three days worth of ramen in the cupboard and that's good enough. One solid winter storm and they're screwed. I know there has been worse portrayals of survivalists in the media, but this one wasn't exactly helpful and sure wouldn't inspire anyone to start prepping seriously.

They think I am 'loosing it' and that scares them because I have always been the stable leader in the family and respected by my friends. Instant Runoff Voting - SOLUTION

I argue that we were never a democracy, that we are supposed to be a constitutional republic. But our defacto government, is actually government to the highest bidder. Elected officials highest priority is usually to be reelected.

Politicians vote the way that lobbyist and special interests want and not their constituents, because of the way elections are currently framed requires lots of money. And it is not just a matter of getting money if you vote a certain way, a candidate must consider that his opposition in the next election will get that same money, if the candidate fails to vote that certain way.

At the same time, voters are distracted away from the real issues of government waste, corruption and conflicts of interest. The mass media frames the election decision for the voter emphasizing the most polarizing issues and downplaying the "foxes guarding the henhouse" issues. I am sorry to convey that most American Voters do not try to think outside of the "major media election issue" box. (or they are not motivated enough to do anything about it.)

The point is that we must postulate to ourselves how to overcome the forces and thought processes that taint our elections. What can we do to motivate Politicians to vote their majority constituents agenda instead of selling their votes for money? What can we do to supplant the current voter thought process for one that will give results more consistent with the ideals of our Founding Fathers.

I suggest that we engage in a campaign to induce a paradigm shift in the way that American Voters make their voting decisions.

I propose that we displace the election framework of the major media and the 2 major parties. I suggest we frame every election as a pass / fail test for every incumbent. In every election, the condition we finds ourselves in personally and as a country, is the result of what the incumbents have legislated and done.

If we can get the majority of voters to vote incumbents in or out based on whether the overall conditions in the country pass or fail each individuals test, we will have shifted the voter decision making process. The pass/fail test is easily communicated with the simple question: "Are you happy?"


If you are happy, vote all the incumbents back in, regardless of political party. If you are not happy vote all the incumbents out, regardless of political party?

After a couple of elections, in which the incumbents are all voted out, elected officials will come to be more motivated to keep their constituents happy and less likely vote solely on the basis of bribes and campaign contributions.

No amount of money spent by lobbyist in bribes and campaign contributions will alter whether the average voter thinks they are happy or not? And so long as we can
convince the average voter to vote their happieness, the elected officials will have to cast votes and make decisions that will keep at least half of the voters happy.

For those who want to stay affiliate to one of the 2 major political parties, I say this: "If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got." How happy are you with what you have been getting?

The infrastructure and the entrenched party officials and politicians will demand that any TEA Party faction bend to their wills, rather than they bend to ours. The powers that be, already entrenched and far more knowledgeable of the party rules and procedures, will quickly neuter any overtures to change.

All that having been said, I would prefer we start a third party (or a third party coaliation). Either we are committed to this change or we are not. Please don't waste my time and political collateral, if we are not committed to this cause.

A Stimulus Story

It is the month of August on the shores of the Black Sea. The little town
looks totally deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody
lives on credit.

One day, a rich tourist comes to town.

He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the reception counter, and
goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the
butcher.

The Butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig
grower.

The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the
supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his
debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services"
on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Euro note
to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she
brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back on the counter so that
the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and
takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms,
and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and
looks to the future with a lot of optimism..

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing
business today.

Happy Independence Day

Here it is, another Fourth of July. Traditionally, this is a day to gather with friends, maybe fire up the barbeque and play with kids until the sun sets and the fireworks start. But in thinking back on the meaning behind this day, we must never forget that our nation was baptized in the blaze of a very different kind of "fireworks." Yes, this is a day of rest and relaxation, as well it should be, but this year…I'd like to ask you a favor. At some point during the day, I hope you'll take time to think and reflect on what it is we're truly celebrating on the 4th of July -- our Independence Day. Of course the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776 but it's so much more than that. On this day, 233 short years ago, a small group of men dedicated themselves to a higher purpose, an ideal they believed in so greatly, they signed their name to its expression and in doing so put their very lives at risk.

Never has a simple act of signing one's name carried such weight, such a profound commitment. By signing the Declaration of Independence, 56 men stood in direct defiance of the British government. They became marked men, and willingly so. As I was doing some research on the significance of July 4th, I came across some interesting facts about these men. Today as we all enjoy the freedom our forefathers guaranteed us, join me in honoring the extraordinary sacrifice of 56 extraordinary Americans.

Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence:

Five were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes burned to the ground. Two lost sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, and two more had sons captured. Nine fought and died in the Revolutionary War.

If you ever feel like your lone voice can never be heard, that the political system isn't set up for "regular" Americans to change the course of history, remember: The signers were flesh and blood, mortal men with a divinely-inspired aim.

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, eleven were merchants, and nine were farmers and large plantation owners. They were well educated, smart enough to know that by signing the Declaration of Independence, they were signing their own death warrants. They did it anyway, and God bless them for it.

As we enjoy our liberty on this 4th of July, or any day of any month, we must never take that liberty for granted. Too many have given too much. In the words of the Signers themselves, "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

Their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor -- I think that's a price paid worth a few minutes of reflection, don't you? But let's not be solemn in that reflection. I say rejoice and share this information with your friends and family, especially your kids. The Signers asked for nothing in return for their pledge, but I say that we show our thanks with a pledge of our own: To remember, to be grateful, and to carry on in their spirit. America is the greatest country this world has ever and will ever know, and it will stay that way so long as "we the people" remember that just like in 1776.

It's US that surrounds them, and we'll never back down.

Dear Senators and Congressmen...LISTEN!

Dear U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressman,

We the People are in shock. Our form of government is changing literally by the week as you operate the largest R.I.C.O. operation in history.


You extort trillions from us for socialist redistribution and you call it a stimulus. We can't travel today without proving that our papers are in order. You are attempting a plan for a government service program reminescent of Hitler's Germany. You nationalize major companies in the banking and automotive sectors and now seek to establish government-controlled medicine as well. You say you're going to pay for it all with our money. Like we're some galactic ATM machine. You're doing all of this against our consent, in clear violation of our Supreme Law. Just what are you thinking?


Look across America today, in several thousand communities from sea to shining sea; do you know what we’re thinking? We think that we've had enough. We're taking our Republic back.


Some of our State legislatures are sending you a similar message. While we appreciate their efforts to remind you that you're violating the 10th Amendment – telling you to cease and desist – that won't be enough. We realize how legislators love pork from D.C. so We The People will now begin to enforce the Constitution. We’ll now start exercising our duty in this government of the people, by the people, and for the People. Tea Party rallies are a heads-up: we intend to lawfully, peacefully shut down criminal enterprises.


At rallies across the Republic today we’re reading this demand letter to you, our members of Congress. Some of your constituents may soon start sending you not tea bags, but signed copies of the AmericaAgain! Declaration, a list of high crimes that Congress has been committing and the list of reform legislation that We The People will draft and refine in coming years. And since you’re destroying our form of government and bankrupting our children? We plan to cut off your 'public servant' perks and pensions. Short terms, not a royal reign; we know that you good ones, you citizen-statesmen, don’t mind living just like regular people. You others? Here comes hope and change, baby.

For the dishonest ones among you, the slick operators: please pass the following message on to those who bought you: we finally get it. We see the pattern. This constitutional crisis didn't begin with Obama, Pelosi, Reed, and Barney Frank. It didn't begin with George Dubya, or even back in 1913. Lawless Leviathan was hatched 50 years earlier, behind a tactical diversion: abolishing slavery. The North didn’t win a Civil War... America's domestic enemies won The War to Enslave the States.


We the People – all of us sovereign States – were divided and conquered. Since the end of that war, two major political parties have kept We The People in a perennial pep-rally to build massive political machines and careers, and to cheat us out of self-government. Our domestic enemy has been tactically shrewd. But we’re not stuck on stupid; the political parties are busted now, and so are you.


Some say that we don't need legal action to enforce the Supreme Law of the Land; that we can just elect reformers to Congress. No, we tried that for generations. It doesn't work. Voting won't change anything now; both major parties are owned by the money powers and arrayed against us.


Even impeaching some of you won't end the corruption nor will it punish crime in Congress. Yes, we’ll start electing statesmen regardless of party, but we’ll also start enforcing the 9th and 10th Amendments for the first time in 220 years.

We have a great deal of reform legislation to draft, that you are going to sponsor. It will include:

- Enacting a congressional Term Limits Amendment
- Immediately and retroactively de-funding Congressional pensions and perks
- De-funding any tracing, tracking, or eavesdropping on law-abiding citizens
- Enacting a Balanced Budget Amendment
- Enacting a Monetary Reform Act to repeal the Federal Reserve Act
- Outlawing the immoral practice of fractional-reserve banking
- Directing the IRS to stop fraudulently applying a perfectly good Tax Code
- Declaring English as the official language of the United States
- Taking immediate action to secure our borders and outlaw the illegal alien "anchor baby" tactic
- Outlawing federal restrictions on law-abiding ownership and use of firearms
- Enforcing the War Powers Resolution of 1973 to end undeclared corporate mercenary wars
- Ending all federal restrictions on our own private land, water, and minerals...and finally...
- Repealing the 16th and the 17th Amendments


We’ve never practiced self-government before, as our founders intended us to do. But we'll get it right with practice. We'll end your corruption, and we'll do it peacefully, lawfully, and without civil disobedience. All we need is that glorious piece of paper, our U.S. Constitution.

Today we want to tell the honest minority in Congress: we have your back. Let’s get to work now. But we also want to thank all corrupt politicians – and bureaucrats, and industry fat cats for making Atlas shrug after five generations of growing American corruption. Our last TRUE 4th of July Celebration

As we prepare to celebrate our Independence this 4th of July, please read this article from the Canadian Free Press. This is a great article...the citizens of the world are looking to the CITIZENS of these United States to take our country back.

Today as main-street Americans muster the kind of spirit needed to celebrate July 4th, their country teeters on an engineered economic collapse. As they prepare for America’s Big Day, indignities are hurled at them, not just from a vociferous enemy across the world, but from an anti-American White House.

Even as Americans worry about losing their homes and jobs, information overload has become the bewildering status quo. The increasing asked, “What can we do?” is never answered.

Everyone’s “talking at Americans”. Talking heads are talking at Americans from 24-hour television networks. Radio talk show hosts are talking at Americans. Internet writers are talking at Americans. Incoming emails have never been so brisk.

As everyone “talks at” Americans, their president is acting out. Never has a President had full Majority in his House and Senate and the sheep to follow him.

Almost every day since November 4, 2008 Americans have heard about yet another Obama atrocity, each one bolder and more shameful than the one before.

Obama, or whomever this Agent of Change really is, seems in a hurry to present a battered, and humiliated America back to the faceless masters he serves.

Opinion is coming at John Q. Public from every direction. They are as plentiful as the grains of sand in the Arabian Desert, some qualified, some sincere and heartfelt, some not, many confusing.

Let this July 4th be the time to tune out on the broken record of Obama. Replace all the talk of Obama with the resolve to bring American back from the brink, a time to replace talk with action.

Unless Obama brings to a halt his rampage over America, it is time for Americans to find the way out of the dark; time to take their country back, and time to stop being the tax base of Congress megalomaniacs.

As Americans celebrate this Independence Day, they know they are not the only people whose country is under threat, not the only people whose fight for survival is being carried out in real time.

America will find the way out of the dark and into the light of a new day. And when the way out is found, it won’t come from the media, or any of the talking heads. It will come from the indomitable spirit carried for centuries in the hearts of true patriots.

Obama’s Independence Day Apology

Given Barack Obama’s penchant for tearing down America and Americans at every possible opportunity, do not be surprised if the Anointed One delivers an apology for the 4th of July.

An Obama Independence Day apology speech might sound something like this:

Two hundred thirty three years ago, on July 4, 1776, a small band of angry white Christian males declared their independence and established a new nation, one that was supposed to bring hope and comfort to human kind all across the world.

Regrettably, instead of providing a beacon of hope for the world to rely on, right wing extremists established a nation of renegade capitalists who have started wars and oppressed hundreds of millions of innocent people in order to secure wealth.

Those right wing extremists, now celebrated in much of America as courageous freedom fighters and patriots guided by the divine power of Jesus Christ, have brought more war, poverty, and death to the world than any other demographic in human history.

Those right wing extremists stole property and assets rightfully belonging to subjects of the British Empire.

Those right wing extremists marched relentlessly, seizing all land between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in the name of “Manifest Destiny” which was their naive way of saying “Jesus made us do it.”

Those right wing extremists slaughtered innocent people of color and took away their land and condemned them to live like captured animals.

Those right wing extremists forced English and Christianity down the throats of all people conquered.

Those right wing extremists imported millions of Africans to work as slaves and be considered subhuman because of their race.

Descendants of right wing extremists continued the legacy of treachery by starting world wars and using a devastating nuclear weapon that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese civilians.

Descendants of right wing extremists created a system of capitalism that rewards greed and punishes compassion.

Descendants of right wing extremists created a system of opportunity and prosperity that unfairly embarrasses and humiliates nations, once considered our allies, who cannot match the greed that lurks in the heart of American capitalists.

Descendants of right wing extremists implemented their racism through Jack Crow laws and mob lynching.

Descendants of right wing extremists continued to treat black people as subhuman through government-sponsored discrimination in education, employment, and housing.

Descendants of right wing extremists invaded Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq in the name of spreading freedom when the real objective was oil and other interests considered vital, economically, to the United States.

On and on the list of transgressions by descendants of right wing extremist goes, making America the most despicable and loathsome nation in human history.

Fellow world citizens, I stand before you today as the new president of the United States, committed to ending the legacy of right wing treachery and replacing it with a policy that takes wealth from the successful and gives said wealth to the mediocre and poor.

My administration is committed to slapping a great deal of that “Yankee” arrogance off the faces of right wing extremists so that America can once again be an obedient, nothing special force that works to be liked by other nations.

Know, too, that CHANGE is the objective of my administration.

YES WE CAN! become a nation of followers and mediocre citizens.

Being second best is America’s new “Manifest Destiny” under my administration.

Thomas told Gibbs that no other White House tried to put this much control over media coverage, and slammed him for doing so despite the administration’s calls for “openness and transparency.”

“But Thomas saved her biggest quote for afterward, as she told CNS News that not even Richard Nixon had tried to control the media this way. Thomas not only put the Nixon administration on a higher ground than Obama in this area, she didn’t even mention George W. Bush as part of it.”

Thomas’ words are sweet music to the ears of patriots whom have been pointing out Obama’s corruption since January 20.

The bill provides for the Secretary of HHS, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture to provide monthly cash payments ("energy stamps") to reimburse certain low-income households for the estimated loss in their purchasing power resulting from H.R. 2454. The bill establishes uniform national standards of eligibility to ensure that States may "seamlessly" administer the "energy-stamps" program with the Food Stamp program. The bill establishes eligibility for individuals at 150 percent of poverty, and phased out thereafter. The energy stamps program would reach approximately 65 million individuals making it a larger program than TANF, food stamps, or even Medicaid. Despite its massive scope, over 200 million Americans would receive no benefits under this program. The bill would also require the EIA to estimate the annual total loss in purchasing power that would result from this bill for households of each size with gross income equal to 150 percent of poverty based on the projected total market value of all compliance costs (including cost of emission allowances) for determination of monthly energy refund amount. The bill provides that cash should be delivered by direct deposit into individual accounts, the State's electronic benefit transfer system, or another Federal or State mechanism approved by the HHS Secretary. The bill provides that the value of the refund shall not be considered income or resources for purposes of Federal, State or local laws.

Lloyd Marcus is a singer, a songwriter, a patriot, and supporter of the Tea Party movement. Mr. Marcus is a dedicated conservative. Mr. Marcus is also African-American.

Janene Garofalo called all Tea Party participants "Racists" in a now infamous interview with Keith Olbermann. Lloyd Marcus was not amused and even wrote a letter to Ms. Garofalo. Read it HERE.
Mr. Marcus did more than just write a letter, however. He wrote a song. His song is now the Tea Party Anthem. It debuted worldwide yesterday on YouTube.

"Rick Santelli's rant ignited a fire across America. I, like my fellow patriots, was outraged by the Obama administration's hijacking of our Freedom, Liberty and Culture! While driving to Walmart, I wrote the lyrics and melody. Fearful of forgetting, what I felt was a great song, I called my recording studio and sang the song on the answering machine. I'm a talk radio and Fox news listener. Thus, I am pretty in tune with the feelings and concerns of my fellow conservatives," says Mr. Marcus.

"Upon hearing my anthem, my brilliant producer and long time friend, Frank Starchak, said he felt it was a gospel/rock song. Frank played all of the instruments. Due to scheduling problems and my deadline (having it ready for the March 21st Orlando Tea party), Jen Stackpole and I sang all of the voices."

WAKING UP FROM THE AMERICAN DREAM

Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, Americans were “inspired” by the promise of a better life. A wife, a house, two cars, and children to whom it would all be passed down were the “inspiration” which compelled common men to spend long hours toiling in fields, shops, factories and other places, enduring hardships and pain, in hope of fulfilling a better life for themselves and their family. Their “perspiration” in pursuit of what would later become known as “the American dream” is what propelled America into a great industrial empire that by the early 20th century had become the envy of the world. It was American “inspiration” and “perspiration” which produced numerous technological marvels which continue to impact the world to this day. We saw the development of the automobile, the assembly line, the first silent movie, the radio, which gave way to the television, the telegraph which gave way to the telephone, and eventually the Internet.

During the 20th century, we were told and taught that America was the land of “opportunity.” We were promised that we could be dirt poor, possess nothing but the clothes on our back and a dogged determination to work hard, and nothing would be impossible. Many foreigners bought into the promise of the “dream” and applied for citizenship. Others drown on makeshift rafts, risked firing ranges and various means of torture in an effort to reach our shores, seek refuge and escape the clutches of totalitarian, authoritarian, and communist rule in pursuit of “the American dream.”

As the 20th century wore on, there were many warning signs along the way which should have awakened the people to the reality that something was amiss with their republic. Long forgotten was the veiled warning of Benjamin Franklin when, on that fateful day in September of 1787, at the door of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, he told the anxious Mrs. Powel that we’ve given you “a republic, if you can keep it.”

The 21st century began with a bang. An orchestrated act of “terrorism” turned the world into a den of bogeymen. Suddenly, we were given a dire warning: a myriad of Mohammads, camel-riding cave dwellers with flight manuals and box cutters in tote, a bearded CIA asset named Bin Laden, whose family just happened to be business partners with the White House executive — all purportedly “wanted us dead.” We were told we were in a new war for our “freedom,” but that we would have to relinquish that freedom to remain safe. Again, Americans ignored the words of Franklin when he admonished that “they that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” We were groped, scanned, databased, profiled, and surveilled. But Americans didn’t worry. They flew their communist Chinese-made American flags, sported their slave-labor-manufactured bumper stickers full of crying eagles and patriotic slogans, and opted to leave the job of “government” to psychotic professionals. They punched the clock, worked their overtime, and pressed harder in their pursuit of that euphoric and rapturous imagination known to them as “the American dream.”

To say that the rate at which the federal mob is inflating the money supply, stealing our labor, and swelling the national debt is “alarming” would be the understatement of the age. Couple that with the ever-increasing unemployment lines, and the hundreds of thousands of newly homeless, and you have finally managed to concoct the perfect recipe to capture the attention of the some most hardened deniers of the conspiracy to take down America.

Hence, we see the dazed, emotionless appearances on the faces of the teaming masses, wiping the sleep from their bleary eyes, attempting to reconcile the long-cherished promise of “the American Dream” with their dire reality — unemployment, poverty, crime, gang violence, drug cartels, pending social unrest and rampant anti-social behavior, disappearing borders, government surveillance and databasing, identity theft, and massive taxation and inflation.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. America was supposed to be the vibrant example of freedom and prosperity — the example of how liberty and a free market could pave the way to the impossible, an impossible known as “the American dream.” We are living the history of our country’s demise.

The night has been long and costly to you, America. The warmth and comfort with which you have long slept, is finally over. While many tried to warn you of the dangers that lie ahead, you chose to turn away, refusing to heed the warnings. The comfort of your slumber and the pursuit of “the dream” prevailed as constitutionalists cried, grieved, and tried to attract your attention. Many warned you of betrayal, lost freedoms, and the bankruptcies that lie ahead. Still, you steadfastly refused to listen. Your head firmly implanted upon your pillow of apathetic complacency, you slept. How often you rolled your eyes, made fun, laughed, ridiculed, and called them unflattering names! They were the despised “conspiracy theorists,” the rejected “kooks” and “nutcases” of your tidy and blissfully-ignorant world. Do you still feel the mirth of your mockery?

Pinch yourself. Splash some water upon your face. Put on some strong coffee to brew, while it is still within your grasp to afford. Bundle up, against the cold, bitter blast that threatens your senses as you are blinded by the glaring daylight of reality. It’s morning in America, and you’ve finally awakened — the end of “the American dream.” Welcome to the “camp” of the patriots.

Polls find rising concern with Obama

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama faces growing concerns among voters over government spending, the auto industry bailout and other economic policies, according to two opinion polls released on Wednesday.

Obama, who took office in January, remains popular with Americans, although his overall job approval rating slipped to 56 percent, down 5 points from April, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

58 percent of respondents said Obama and Congress should focus on keeping the budget deficit down, even if takes longer for the economy to recover. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the federal deficit could top $1.8 trillion this fiscal year -- by far a record.
Nearly 70 percent said they had concerns about federal intervention in the economy, including Obama's decision to take an ownership stake in General Motors and the prospect of more government involvement in healthcare. Obama has made healthcare reform a top priority of his administration.

1st Mexico...now US the USA

In 1995, Mexico's foreign debt was more than twice the country's total debt payment for the previous century and a half. Per-capita income had fallen by almost a third from a year earlier, and Mexican purchasing power had fallen by well over 50 percent. Mexico was propelled into a crippling national depression that has lasted for over a decade. As in the U.S. depression of the 1930s, the actual value of Mexican businesses and assets did not change during this speculator-induced crisis. What changed was simply that currency had been sucked out of the economy by investors stampeding to get out of the Mexican stock market, leaving insufficient money in circulation to pay workers, buy raw materials, finance loans, and operate the country. It was further evidence that when short-selling is allowed, currencies are driven into hyperinflation not by the market mechanism of "supply and demand" but by the concerted action of currency speculators. The flipside of this also appears to be true: the U.S. dollar remains steady despite its plunging trade balance, because it has been artificially manipulated up by the Fed. Market manipulators, not free market forces, are in control.

So what was going on...what happened to Mexico?

In 1994, the U.S. Congressional Budget Office Report on NAFTA had diagnosed the peso as "overvalued" by 20 percent. The Mexican government was advised to unpeg the currency and let it float, allowing it to fall naturally to its "true" level. The theory was that it would fall by only 20 percent; but that is not what happened. The peso eventually dropped by 300 percent – 15 times the predicted fall. Its collapse was blamed on the lack of "investor confidence" due to Mexico's negative trade balance; but investor confidence was quite high immediately before the collapse. If a negative trade balance is what sends a currency into massive devaluation and hyperinflation, the U.S. dollar itself should have been driven there long ago. By 2001, U.S. public and private debt totaled ten times the debt of all Third World countries combined.
Although the peso's collapse was supposedly unanticipated, over 4 billion U.S. dollars suddenly and mysteriously left Mexico in the 20 days before it occurred. Six months later, this money had twice the Mexican purchasing power it had earlier. Later commentators maintained that lead investors with inside information precipitated the stampede out of the peso.

These investors were evidently the same parties who profited from the Mexican bailout that followed. When Mexico's banks ran out of dollars to pay off its creditors (which were largely U.S. banks), the U.S. government stepped in with U.S. tax dollars. The Mexican bailout was engineered by Robert Rubin, who headed the investment bank Goldman Sachs before he became U.S. Treasury Secretary. Goldman Sachs was then heavily invested in short-term dollar-denominated Mexican bonds. The bailout was arranged the very day of Rubin's appointment. Needless to say, the money provided by U.S. taxpayers never made it to Mexico. It went straight into the vaults of Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and other big American lenders whose risky loans were on the line. ( notice the names?)

The late Jude Wanniski was a conservative economist who was at one time a Wall Street Journal editor and adviser to President Reagan. He cynically observed of this banker coup:

There was a big party at Morgan Stanley after the Mexican peso devaluation, people from all over Wall Street came, they drank champagne and smoked cigars and congratulated themselves on how they pulled it off and they made a fortune. These people are pirates, international pirates.
The loot was more than just the profits of gamblers who had bet the right way. The pirates actually got control of Mexico's banks. NAFTA rules had already opened the nationalized Mexican banking system to a number of U.S. banks, with Mexican licenses being granted to 18 big foreign banks and 16 brokers including Goldman Sachs. But these banks could bring in no more than 20 percent of the system's total capital, limiting their market share in loans and securities holdings. They wanted the whole enchilada. By 2004, all but one of Mexico's major banks had been sold to foreign banks, which gained total access to the formerly closed Mexican banking market.

The value of Mexican pesos and Mexican stocks collapsed together, supposedly because there was a stampede to sell and no one around to buy; but buyers with ample funds were sitting on the sidelines, waiting to pick over the devalued stock at bargain basement prices. The result was a direct transfer of wealth from the local economy to international money manipulators. The devaluation also precipitated a wave of privatizations (sales of public assets to private corporations), as the Mexican government tried to meet its spiraling debt crisis....thus the Waves of immigrants pouring over the Mexican border into the United States in search of work and the illegal alien crisis for Americans.

Analysts are increasingly concerned about the Treasury's ability to fund costly economic rescue measures that are expected to drive this year's budget deficit to $1.75 trillion.

Our money system is not what we have been led to believe. The creation of money has been "privatized," or taken over by a private money cartel. Except for coins, all of our money is now created as loans advanced by private banking institutions — including the private Federal Reserve. Banks create the principal but not the interest to service their loans. To find the interest, new loans must continually be taken out, expanding the money supply, inflating prices — and robbing you of the value of your money.

Not only is virtually the entire money supply created privately by banks, but a mere handful of very big banks is responsible for a massive investment scheme known as "derivatives," which now tallies in at hundreds of trillions of dollars. The banking system has been contrived so that these big banks always get bailed out by the taxpayers from their risky ventures, but the scheme has reached its mathematical limits. There isn't enough money in the entire global economy to bail out the banks from a massive derivatives default today. When the investors realize that the "insurance" against catastrophe that they have purchased in the form of derivatives is worthless, they are liable to jump ship and bring the whole shaky edifice crashing down.

It is obvious that the Chinese and other surplus nations cannot fund the [U.S.] deficit even if they were fully on board -- which they are not. Someone else has got to write checks for up to $1.5 trillion additional Treasury notes and bond.

What has happened to Mexico sounds alot like what is happening to the USA. The dollar is a national resource that belongs to the people. It was an original invention of the early American colonists, a new form of paper currency backed by the "full faith and credit" of the people. But a private banking cartel has taken over its issuance, turning debt into money and demanding that it be paid back with interest. Increasing taxes and a crushing federal debt have been imposed by a financial ruling class that keeps the people entranced and enslaved.

Henry Ford said it best: "It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

If you talk to the people that voted for President Obama, you will find that a majority of them voted for him not because he was a better qualified candidate, an African American or because they wanted a liberal democrat in the White House, they voted for him because of what he said he represented, Change. Change from business as usual politics in Washington. He was an outsider that was going to shake up DC.

The Democrats are claiming victory over the Republicans, but did they win or did the Republicans lose? It is hard to tell when there are only two parties in our political system. The Democrats and Republicans are so busy fighting against each other for power that they forgot long ago why they are there and who they are representing. There are no winners or losers in politics, because it is the same people every year just in different roles. The real losers are the Americans.

Regardless of your views on our new President, what he ultimately highlights is that Americans are fed up with the current system and are desperate for change in ANY form. The Tea Party coalition was a great way to vent frustration, but it did not fix anything. We propose to fix the problem by capitalizing on the "Change" momentum generated by the election of President Obama and further riding the wave of the frustrated populace represented by the Tea Party movement.

We propose we clean house in Washington DC. How, you may ask? By using the most powerful weapon democracy gives us - the vote. Starting in 2010 let's VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENTS! Unless you have researched and approve of the candidate, vote for new blood. Don't vote partylines, vote change.

In a single election and doing nothing more than our civic duty, we can change Washington forever. Let us make the vote mean something again. Let us use its power to take our country back.

Let us stand up as a nation and let the Silent Majority be heard loud and clear. "We're mad as hell and we aren't going to take this anymore!"

Recall the Stimulus

Testifying before the House Budget Committee this week, Ben Bernanke said that when the time comes, the Fed will raise interest rates in order to stop inflation from building in the next recovery. He also asked for "fiscal balance" to sustain financial stability. On the surface -- in terms of keeping prices stable and restoring value to the softening U.S. dollar -- this is positive. Surely Bernanke wants to do right for America, and he's giving it his best shot.

But when you talk to traders and economists, the whisper story is that Bernanke and the Fed are no longer truly independent of the Obama White House and Treasury. As a result, Bernanke will not be able to slow down the printing presses and gradually lift the near-zero target rate in a timely and effective manner. Already the Fed has created more than $1 trillion in new cash, and the M2 money supply is growing at its fastest pace in 25 years.

This monetary explosion explains what's really driving the dollar down and Treasury rates up (alongside rising gold and oil prices). It's not huge budget deficits, but the growing fear that a less-than-independent Fed will keep pushing new money into the financial system in order to fund Obama's liberal spending policies.

Rising inflation and interest rates are always a monetary problem. When Dick Cheney said a few years ago that deficits don't matter, he was basically right. There is no clear relationship between budget deficits, inflation and interest rates. In fact, for most of the'80s and '90s, and much of the 2000s (excepting the 2003-05 bubble), interest rates and inflation fell while deficits averaged over $200 billion a year and got as high as 6 percent of gross domestic product at some points. This is because Paul Volcker and Alan Greenspan restrained money-supply growth in a non-inflationary manner..
Economic blogger Scott Grannis says, "Recall the stimulus." Professor Russell Roberts of George Mason notes that only $36 billion of the stimulus has been spent through May, out of a total $787 billion. And USA Today reports that $209 billion in countercyclical automatic safety-net stabilizers -- which is apart from the stimulus package -- has already been spent on unemployment insurance, food stamps, Medicaid and early Social Security retirements.

On the eve of recovery, with all this prior spending, why on earth do we need more?

Policy analyst Dan Clifton tells us that the $200 billion spending increase scheduled for 2011 to 2019 should definitely be rolled back from the Obama stimulus package, before it's built into the current-services spending baseline. And let's not forget that the Obama Democrats already passed a $400 billion omnibus spending bill for 2009. So anybody in Washington who is serious about spending and deficits can save hundreds of billions of dollars by rolling back the stimulus package and TARP. The financial system is healing, and banks want to pay TARP down anyway.

Here's the moral of this story: Excessive Fed pump-priming and over-the-top federal spending is what matters, not the budget deficit. If we keep paying people not to work by piling on more transfer payments and government subsidies, economic growth will suffer mightily. And if the Fed keeps buying bonds issued by Uncle Sam, inflation will ratchet higher.

People, Obama, Congress, are you listening? Roll back the unnecessary stimulus, and restore the Fed's independence.

The Date

President and first lady jetted on a date in New York late Saturday afternoon, aides and media in tow.

"I am taking my wife to New York City because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished," the president said in a statement an aide read to the press.

President Obama has finally made good one campaign promise: he took wife Michelle to a Broadway show in New York City. With three private jets and a helicopter, it cost taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars for the date. Obama picked up the tab for the dinner and theater tickets, but the rest is all on us. Being that President Obama bashes CEO's for flying privately (the ones who took bailout money) because it's wasting taxpayer money --- shouldn't he be spending a little less on date night?

If this is a well timed media distraction....what don't we know about yet? Or is just to mellow out the GM thing?

Or maybe it's about promises.
We all make promises to our spouses and families, right? They are promises made, just like his, that sometime in the future we will do something wonderful, relaxing and rewarding. At a time like now with the economy when we all look at our finances and act responsably with our spending...shouldn't the President set a good example.

They do have a bowling alley in the basement...and it not like they would have any trouble putting a dinner party together with free entertainment right there in the white house.
He says he gets it.....understands the average American...understands the sacrifices we need to make....but when is he going to SHOW us that he understands.

What if Americans didn't pay their taxes?

USA Today reports that if you add up all the federal debt, each American household now owes $546,668 dollars — up 12 percent or $55,000 from last year. That's four times what each U.S. household owes in car loans, credit cards, mortgages and all other debt combined.

Keep in mind that's the conservative estimate; so what's the number if you take an approach that's not-so-sunshine-and-lollipops? They say we can pay this off with taxes.

But just to give you an idea of how much money this is, here are three possible options to pay it off:

• You could confiscate almost every single cent of GDP for this fiscal year and the next three fiscal years

• Take 54 percent of all corporate revenues and all wages and salaries for the next 10 years

• Take about two out of every three dollars of all wages and salaries paid to U.S. residents over the next 10 years

And things could get worse if the government wants to follow through with its giant progressive plans for health care spending, because there's talk of a national sales tax, which would dump another 25 percent sales tax onto every single thing you buy.

I am not advocating people don't pay their income taxes. But what if — for argument's sake — a million people intentionally didn't pay their taxes?

Right now the IRS is already able to go through over 150 million tax returns and punish those who fail to pay with fines of between 5 and 25 percent and collect about $30 billion in back taxes.

And going forward, the Obama administration is devoting an additional $400 million and 800 people to catch tax cheats. Still, most actual tax evaders don't wind up in jail — they end up as Obama's Cabinet nominees.

But let's just say a million people don't pay — not because they're cheats, but because they believe the principles upon which we are founded have been violated. Just put aside the fact that America's 2.3 million federal, state and local prisoners are already dealing with prisons that are packed 36 percent beyond their rated capacity; in other words, overcrowded.

If you go minimum security, 192-bed prisons, you can house them for a meager $30 billion; or, since these are clearly all right-wing extremists, you put them all in maximum security, 500-bed prisons, for a cost of $100 billion. All in all, it's probably not worth the government's time to toss us all in jail. There's other ways of going off the grid, off the dole, and that is to leave no papertrail. No 1099's or W-2's when you barter or trade for services. People will view these strategies much differently in the days to come.

Gandhi said: "Withholding payment of taxes is one of the quickest methods of overthrowing a government."

And it jives with common sense: Starving them out of trillions of our hard-earned dollars would literally put them out of business.

But do enough Americans have the guts to follow Gandhi's example, in order to save our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from all this debt?
