Ten Scenarios for Which YOU Should be Prepared

Preparedness. There is perhaps no other word that conveys so much, yet so little. What does it mean? To what areas of life does it apply (or not apply)? Being adequately and generally prepared of a necessity requires that we ask ourselves all sorts of questions, plan for various scenarios, and abstract our preparations enough such that they can apply to various circumstances, if possible.

For example, having a lot of food stored will help you if there’s an earthquake, fire, flood, unemployment, famine, etc. So, this preparedness item is quite versatile in its applicability and usefulness.

Preparedness in this context means acquiring the knowledge, skills, and physical possessions that would enable you to comfortably survive whatever may come our way. In most cases, external circumstances outside of your control dictate what you must go through, and thus you cannot reliably foresee what will happen. So, preparing for the unknown can be daunting, but it is by no means impossible.

The following list of ten items illustrate various scenarios and circumstances for which we should all be prepared. As you read this list, do not become alarmed, frustrated, or fearful. The information shared below is not intended to elicit any of these emotions. Rather, you should explore the various scenarios with an open mind willing to make whatever changes necessary to become prepared for that potential event. Take them one at a time, consider what you need to do in your own life to be better prepared in that area, and make an action plan. Do not let this list, or your own preparedness plan, overwhelm you to the point of inaction!

I fear that too many people would rather die before “anything really bad happens”. While I understand why some people might feel this way, I strongly disagree. Crises provide opportunities for service, leadership, inspiration, and love. You may never be more needed in your life than at a time when others around you look to you for assistance. In such experiences, you can fill a critical need and be a great help to those who need you. I fully intend to survive whatever the future holds, and so should you.

With that, I present the following list of possible scenarios for which we should all be prepared. They are listed in no specific order, and are by no means comprehensive.

1. Pandemic. The question you need to ask is this: if a pandemic broke out in America today (H1N1 is just one), am I prepared to self-quarantine in my home for the next three months? Do I have three months’ worth of food, water, waste disposal, medicine, supplies, savings to pay the bills, etc.? Can I home school the kids and keep the family sane and safe?

2. Economic Collapse. The headlines are scary to ponder these days, and our situation is in many ways grim. Much is being promoted by the various governments of the world to stave off depression, but the truth is that our economic house of cards is built on a sandy foundation. Whether it’s next week or in five years, there will be severe economic problems felt by every individual in the world. People have already lost their life savings, banks are closing their doors weekly, the value of the dollar is eroding, and the market is fearful of what the government is trying to do. The questions you need to ask are: how much savings can I build up? In my situation would it be wise to pre-pay certain bills? Should I diversify out of the dollar into gold or silver? How would I meet my basic needs and those of my family if an economic collapse occurs? Will barter be the new economy? Maybe food will be the only thing of value.

3. Martial Law. This sounds like something out of the movies or dystopian fiction, but it’s a very real possibility. As the economy worsens, there will be increasing civil unrest. Recently released documents from George Bush’s administration show that it had arrogantly (and un-Constitutionally) granted itself power to use the military inside the country’s borders to subdue and detain American citizens, free from any Constitutional checks or Posse Comitatus’ restraint. The groundwork for martial law has been in the process for some time, and its likelihood in the event of an “emergency” (whether real or contrived) is quite high. Even without using the military, our cities’ police departments have become highly militarized themselves. The question you need to ask is: do I have a personal plan tailored to my unique situation and location for surviving and escaping the heavy hand of martial law? Am I aware of my Constitutional rights, and taking steps to cement and preserve them now?

4. War, Terrorism, and Chaos—Inside Our Borders. Scared of Iraq? According to a military affairs website, Mexico poses a greater threat to our national security than do terrorist factions on the other side of the world. With stories like these, that’s not a surprising statement. And as the chaos creeps closer to our borders; as it festers from within as a result of a tanking economy; as unemployment and entitlement claims rise; as state budgets suffer, hand out IOUs to citizens, and cut spending in sensitive social programs; and in numerous other circumstances that might incite protest and rebellion, the violent actions summarized on nightly news broadcasts may soon become overwhelmingly repetitive. You need to ask yourself: do I have the ability to protect my family from gangs or those who are desperate and violent? Do I have a community of friends and family to survive with (strength in numbers)? What supplies should I acquire and what measures should I take now to create an environment of stability and safety later?

5. Earthquake, Tsunami, Volcano. We live on the Earth at its mercy. At any time, she can erupt, shake, and cause us to feel her presence to our physical detriment. This especially hits close to home for those of us (in Utah and California especially) who live on a prominent earthquake fault, or who live near the ocean, close to a volcano, or in an environment known for other severe natural disasters (hurricanes, fires, floods, etc.). Ask yourself: Do I have an emergency route and an emergency vehicle? Have I established a place of refuge to which I can flee, should it become necessary? Do I have basic survival skills and supplies necessary to survive on foot as I travel away from disaster? Do I have a communications and evacuation plan to reunite with my family in the event of a disaster, should we be apart at the time?

6. Nuclear. At the switch of a button, entire cities can vanish in a nuclear assault. The nations of the world have plenty of these weapons stockpiled, and frayed diplomatic relations and aggressive posturing may one day lead to a nuclear assault of varying proportions. You must ask yourself: do I live in a major city? If a nuclear event occurred within 300 miles of my home, do I have sufficient Potassium Iodide for all those I want to help? Do I have a safe shelter to avoid radiation? Do I know how to shield myself from fallout and how long I need to shelter in place? Have I acquired the knowledge necessary to survive a nuclear blast?

7. Food and Water Shortage. Nations throughout the world are already suffering from severe famine and a decrease in food production. As the economy is factored in and its effects are felt, the number of people suffering for want of food and clean water will increase. You should be asking: do I have at least one year of food and water stored, especially basic staples that can be stored in bulk for a long time? If my current water supply was cut off or contaminated, how would I get water? What items can I store that would be used in a barter situation, or which I could freely give to others that might be in need, yet still be able to provide for my family’s needs?

8. Communication Termination or Power Outage. Our communication network is vast, and yet very fragile. An EMP attack, strategic missile attack, or other similar assault could easily take down parts or our entire communication infrastructure in this country. You should ask yourself: do I have an emergency plan for my family that will allow us to communicate between ourselves and others as necessary? Do I own and know how to use a HAM radio, GMRS walkie talkies, and other communication devices that may allow me to access news, pass along important information, and otherwise be of assistance in the event we are unable to do so through conventional means? As far as power, just flip the main switch in your home and go without for 3 or 4 days. You will soon get a good idea of what all you need to stock up on to get by.

9. Discord and Division. As world events escalate, people will look for someone to save them from their problems. Some look to government, others to God, others to themselves, and others to the tempting stash of goodies in their neighbors’ basement. Perhaps a civil war or revolt in which you have to pick sides, for or against? At what point does the choice to be passive no longer exist...it might be picking political sides or protecting the haves against the havenots, maybe even the healthy against the infected.

10. Tent City and Places of Refuge. As a result of foreclosure and economic trouble, tent cities have been popping up in various cities for some time now. Authorities in Sacramento, CA, now estimate that 1,200 people are living in a tent city there, trying to cope with the hand that they’ve been dealt, and get back on their feet. Tent City with thousands or State Park on our own?? I prefer the latter, an extended camping trip out of necessity or invitation, you should ask: do I have the resources necessary in order to do so? If, for whatever reason, I had to leave the comfort of my home, head to a retreat in the boonies or live in the outdoors for an extended period of time, what would I bring? How would I stay warm? What would I use for shelter? Another option is to look to family or friends that might welcome your arrival if you come prepared and won't be a burden, safety in numbers. Plan ahead.

Now take a deep breath. I, as much as anybody, hope that none of these things ever happen. But looking over history and closely following current events, the sad reality is that the potential for each is surprisingly high.

We must be prepared, and ready to help ourselves, our family, and those around us. Doing so requires a plan...and mapping out our current plan’s weak points, assessing in what ways our supply of items is deficient, and making an actionable to-do list of things we will work on both in the short and long term.

It’s a lot of work, yes. But as conditions worsen around us, those who have prepared will be ready for the future and able to continue moving ahead in their life. My firm determination is to survive whatever may come our way, and (hopefully) comfortably! I hope you’ll work towards the same goal.

$1 will save you $9 If You Prepare Now

The former Army General that helped restore order in New Orleans after the chaotic days following Hurricane Katrina recently spoke at a Baton Rouge luncheon on hurricane preparedness issues and he challenged the attendees to, "start right away getting ready for the next potential disaster."

In his speech he warned the people that the cost of waiting to prepare was extremely high and he stated that, "Every one dollar you spend on prevention saves you nine dollars later."

He explained how people should not expect the Federal Government to come to their rescue and how it is every individuals responsibility to ensure their own safety. "Honoré at times expressed impatience at what he saw as the failure of too many to have common sense in regard to coping with natural disasters. For instance, why, he wondered, don’t gas stations and drug stores all have generators so they can continue to operate and supply critical fuel and prescription drugs during emergencies?" Seems logical to me.

Last wednesday our local evening news announced that every citizen or head of family should make sure they have 2 weeks worth of food in their homes. Shocked me at first! It's the first time I heard it officially announced. It wasn't in reference to a H1N1 outbreak and the need to stay at home with sick kids. It was in reference to a widespread power outage....and that's exactly what has happened today. It didn't reach into our area, but close enough!

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A large power outage has left thousands of people in western Nebraska and S. Dakota without power.

Nebraska Public Power District spokesman Mark Becker says a problem with a Western Area Power Administration transmission line that runs out of South Dakota into western Nebraska has affected all utilities in that region.

He says at least 14,500 customers NPPD customers from S Dak and 12,000 Nebraska are without power. The outage began about 11 a.m. Saturday. Becker says NPPD is slowly restoring power to its customers. Calls to Western Area Power were not answered. A recorded message stated the utility was closed for the weekend. Western Area Power provides power to 15 central and western states.
***********
Update:
POWER OUTAGE - Power restored to western Nebraska and South Dakota. Problems with a transmission line switch that feeds power affected all utilities in that region.

Comparing the news today and the announcement on the news last week, this power outage could have been alot worse...the transmission line switch could have not went so well and power could have been off for up to 2 weeks with grocery stores and restaurants shut down for the duration. Just another reason to be prepared for all scenarios. Sometimes an emergency doesn’t need to be brought on by Mother Nature, terrorism or a major financial collapse. Get Prepared!

No Flu Shot For Me!!

Well, here you go. Here is the information that you need to know and were afraid to ask.

Since March, 2009, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), through the news media, have created the impression that a “novel” strain of H1N1 (swine) flu virus has appeared and that it will mutate and spread pandemically all across the world. Deemed “unstoppable,” the only way to protect the world’s nearly 7 billion people, according to WHO et al, is to “develop” a vaccine, produce nearly five billion doses of it and vaccinate the entire planet — children and pregnant women first.

The evidence, however, shows that the “novel” H1N1 “virus” strain is a product of bio-weapons research and the patented vaccine has been under development for at least four years. The implication of this research undermines the WHO/CDC/media-created impression that a global cooperative of public health officials and vaccine manufacturers are responding appropriately to a pending public health emergency.

In this article I am not going to give you all the media reports. I am going to give you the facts behind what you can expect this fall. Look at it this way. When you line up to get your series of flu shots which is going to be either 3 or 4 spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart you will know exactly what is in them. You will look at the syringe that is going to go into the arm of your child or father or mother and know what chemicals are going to go into their bodies. After you read this you will not be able to say that you did not know what was in that shot or jab as they call it overseas.

Let us go on to the ingredients of this wonderful, life saving, innovative, fully tested, pandemic flu vaccine. NOT

The main ingredient is Squalene. Squalene is an essential lipid (oil). Squalene is a cholesterol precursor, which stimulates the immune system nonspecifically. We demonstrate that one intradermal injection of this adjuvant lipid can induce joint-specific inflammation in arthritis-prone DA rats. Histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses revealed erosion of bone and cartilage, and that development of polyarthritis coincided with infiltration of ß+ T cells. — Our demonstration that an autoadjuvant can trigger chronic, immune-mediated joint-specific inflammation may give clues to the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis, and it raises new questions concerning the role of endogenous molecules with adjuvant properties in chronic inflammatory diseases.

There is also a “link between the health problems of Gulf-War veterans and possible presence of squalene in vaccines received by these soldiers has been suggested. One published report has suggested that some army veterans who received anthrax vaccines developed anti-squalene antibodies and that these antibodies caused disabilities.”

The next ingredient of concern is Polysorbate 80 which is a surfactant. What a surfactant does in a vaccine environment is keep the ingredients suspended in a somewhat uniform fashion. This is all well and good because you do not need the ingredients to be of different concentrations in different vials or syringes. There is a much larger concern with Polysorbate 80.

There is “a report that shows that neonatal rats were injected with small doses of polysorbate 80 and the results were major effects on the reproductive organs of the rats, resulting in infertility.” There was a study done on pregnant women by PubMed where “in an intravenous vitamin mix given to a pregnant woman who suffered anaphylactic shock where polysorbate 80 was identified as the causative agent,”

It doesn’t stop there. Now we have 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A (3dMPL) added to the mix. Here we have another lipid. This is what I found on this ingredient. “If MPL is immunogenic, it raises the possibility of a dangerous “cross reaction.” The human body is full of lipids. Antibodies and immune cells responding to MPL might also respond to other lipids in the body, thus breaking tolerance for endogenous lipids (those native to the human body) and initiating autoimmunity.”

Now I am going to tell you about my favorite ingredient, Thiomersal or Ethyl mercury. It does not matter what you hear from the main stream media about mercury being in the vaccines because I researched all the vaccines that are approved for a pandemic and many have it in there. It may be only a trace amount but for the majority of vaccines that I have researched it is more than just a trace amount. GlaxoSmithKline uses Thiomersal in all the approved pandemic vaccines that I have found.

You are also looking at having in these vaccines Sodium Chloride, TromeThamine, L-Histidine, Sodium Borate, Sorbitan Trioleate (Span 85 or Tween 85), Aluminum Salts, Aluminum Hydroxide or QS21 (Saponin).

QS21 sounded like another gem when I read this. “QS-21 induced mild local erythema, induration, and tenderness lasting 24-72h in all patients at the 100-mcg dose. The 200-pg dose of QS-21 was associated with local tenderness and inflammation lasting 2-10days in all patients as well as mild flu-like symptoms, including low grade fever (<38.5°C), headache, and myalgia lasting 8-24h after most immunizations. No neurological abnormalities or other side effects were observed.” Why would they be looking at neurological abnormalities or other side effects? This really bothered me.

That is enough for the Novartis vaccine patent. You have to remember that many of the ingredients will also be present in all the other vaccines especially the ingredient Squalene.

Swine flu jab link to killer nerve disease: Leaked letter reveals concern of neurologists over 25 deaths in America.....
A warning that the new swine flu jab is linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.

The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, has been leaked to The Mail on Sunday, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.

It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine.

College Credit for Vision

To all the parents of teens soon to be launched off to college...Please pay attention to the classes they sign up for! I am relieved at the seriousness of education by the White House, but when did they ever plan the curriculum to this level? We used to joke about Basket weaving being a course for credit(no I am not picking on basket weaving)...

Now our youth can get credit for 'Vision'...and you pay for it!

* Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, is empowering students across the country to build on the movement that elected President Obama and help bring about his vision for change.

Now to all those who are suggesting for one moment that the Right is busing in folks to Town Hall meetings, I want you to think long and hard about an administration that is affording students credit for perpetuating the President's vision.

Students have to maintain so many credit hours each semester to be considered full time students and qualify for 100% of their grants and scholarships, so if they are taking 2 heavy classes and want the extra study time, they always look for light/easy/pud classes. What a nifty way for Obama to sculpt new liberal "community organizing' Acorn types....a step up from the ghetto crowd...don't cha think? Parents beware!

Birthers...icky,bicky,backy,boo...more name calling!

A man who had claimed to have a copy of President Obama's Kenyan birth certificate, attempted to sell it on eBay this weekend. There's even a Youtube that I won't bother to post here. He claims he has an authentic Obama birth certificate from Mombasa, and a video of him showing the document – which includes a close-up shot of the document's raised seal and the alleged footprint of Barack Obama.

So....now there's a huge hussle to prove if the document is legit on one side, with the other side quick to make this guy out to be a crazy. So what's the BIG DEAL??? Can't the big cheese or the DNC just come up with proof to shut down all the 'birthers'? (yes, they have a name for it now) I think what ticks more people off is that there were congressional hearings held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born citizen," but there were no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth.
Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions.

World Net Daily has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.

The true "long-form" birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the ONLY document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.
The "certification of live birth" posted online and widely touted as "Obama's birth certificate" DOES NOT in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii.

Congress Sucks, that's all there is to it. Have a congressional hearing for pete's sake and put this baby to bed. Maybe they are more afraid of what they might find out. Can you imagine all the undoing of the last 8 months or worse yet, having Biden anywhere close to that chair behind the desk...crap...scary, huh?

Post Office needs to go First Class!

Leading The News...

---"The United States Postal Service (USPS) is in financial disarray, with plummeting levels of mail being sent and heathcare costs for retirees increasing, according to a report released Thursday by an investigative arm of Congress."
--- The report says the PO “has not been able to cut costs fast enough to offset the accelerated decline in mail volume and revenue.”
---"The USPS is experiencing its largest percentage decline in mail sent since the severe drop it took during the Great Depression...."
---"The decline is expected to result in a net loss of $7 billion, with total outstanding debt levels reaching $10.2 billion,..."

"I just had the idea of looking at the statistics for the Post Office, and I found out that the entire deficit for 2008 would have been covered by charging 48 cents for each first class letter rather than 45 cents. What would FedEx or UPS charge? (Not to say that I think all of the shortfall should be covered by first class mailings, but the numbers were so compelling that I stopped right there.)
http://www.usps.com/financials/anrpt08/pg47.htm
http://www.usps.com/financials/anrpt08/pg31.htm

Even today, the Post Office could turn a multibillion dollar profit by charging only 55 cents per letter. Can private companies even come close? If they ran it like a real busines, they would use their competitors as a guild of what the market will bear and say, raise the cost to 80 cents. When the howls of anger erupt, they could say they'll reconsider when their competition starts delivering letters for 79 cents....
If the postal service raised the price on each piece of mail by 11 cents, they would achieve a 25% net profit on operations. By the way, that includes over 10% of gross receipts held aside for retirement benefits, meaning these people will not burden social security or Medicare at retirement.

To qualify for 5x a week pickup, you'd need two or more pieces or packages. Pickup would only be when receiving mail, otherwise. Forget Saturdays. That costs extra, same as with FedEx. I personally live in a remote area that has delivery only 3 times a week, M_W_F, and for non-business addresses it wouldn't be that big a deal to adjust.

FedEx and UPS does not want the door to door delivery...they want your packages. They wouldn't touch the newspaper, junk bulk, and odd shaped envies with a ten foot pole! FedEx or UPS could NOT compete with 58 cent letter delivery costs nor would they want to.

The USPS is the only one doing what they are doing and they have the best systems in place to get the job done. Not many high volume businesses I can think of can handle a decline in volume without showing a loss, but what the hey, let's have it turn a profit! Raise that stamp to 75 cents and leave the package rates alone. Let the people and businesses adjust and rethink what is important to send down the road. Run the Post Office as a business!

What's Next with Obama???

Obama reiterates his support for amnesty!

President Obama has restated his intention to provide an amnesty for illegal aliens. Speaking in Mexico, Obama said he wants to give "an opportunity for those who are already in the United States to be able to achieve a pathway to citizenship so they don't have to live in the shadows."

Health Care is one Pathway. The big push for Health Care Reform is not so much about changing the insurance structure and curbing Costs. It's about the UNinsured. It's about the millions of illegal's that have been accessing OUR hospitals and clinics on the 'free' ticket. If the 'free' food stamps and other HHS benefits aren't enough, strapping every State Gov's infrastruture to the point of bankruptcy, then I say there's a cheaper way to fix it! Obama wants to Fund the system by changing How and How Much the tax paying citizens are going to finance this health care for ALL. If he wants to allow amnesty to lawbreakers so that Democrats have 'some' voters in the next election....He does NOT need to do it at the expense of changing our fundemental Lifestyles and one of the BEST medical systems in the world.

If Obama wants to ask us citizens to finance the Enforcement of our Immigration LAWS....I think he can get Huge Support and the snitch hot-lines to the .Gov sight would be hot with all the leads he needs.

(and when the H1N1 runs rampunt this Fall, he will say, "we should have passed the Health CAre Bill" instead of addressing how we should have beefed up Border Security and protected American Citizens...which IS the JOB of the Government. Mark my words....)

While struggles over health care and the economy have delayed efforts to push the amnesty bill, Obama said he planned to have language for an immigration bill drafted this year and pass the measure next year.

Just Say No!

That's OK....he gave us back the 'word' all school teachers for YEARS have tried to erase from every child's vocabulary.
He used the word in reference to law enforcement, without doing his homework first. Opinion first...Facts later.

Which is a very telling sign that there are MANY statements and decisions based on lack of truth, research, constitutional law or concern for the future outcome. The numbers projected in every speech he has ever given, affirmed as fact, have not come even close. How many things does he have to get wrong before people lose faith in this guy???

At this point, let's take up a new motto coined by our law enforcement friends...
Just say NO!

A Threat to the Average American?

Civilian Resettlement Facilitys?
An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an "Internment/Resettlement" specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on "threatening" conservatives.

The ads, at the GoArmy.com website as well as others including Monster.com, cite the need for:

"Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists in the Army are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. I/R Specialists provide rehabilitative, health, welfare, and security to U.S. military prisoners within a confinement or correctional facility; conduct inspections; prepare written reports; and coordinate activities of prisoners/internees and staff personnel."

The campaign follows by only weeks a report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warning about "right-wing extremists" who could pose a danger to the country – including those who support third-party political candidates, oppose abortion and would prefer to have the U.S. immigration laws already on the books enforced.

Populartity is NO Way to Judge a Man

In the weeks and months leading up to the 2008 election, the Obama logo was everywhere. It was more a fashion accessory than it was a political statement.

Face it. This time last year, it was "cool" to like Obama.

You didn't need to understand a lick about who he was, where he was from, why he was so popular, or what he believed in. All you needed was that logo pinned onto your messenger bag, or drawn on your t-shirt with red and blue Sharpies, and you were "in".

To speak critically of the man, this "Chosen One", was the most surefire way of getting get oneself excommunicated from the cool kids' table in the cafeteria.

Fast forward to July 2009.

These polling numbers have got to be triggering some serious trouser dumpage in the White House. The more the People learn about this fraudulent administration, and the purely socialistic ideology driving it, the more it's becoming "cool" to not like Obama.

And, that can only be a good thing. However, be warned...

Any measure of optimism you take from these recent polling results must be tempered with an equal or greater amount of vigilance.

If the tidal wave of public opinion and blind adoration that swept Obama into office has, in fact, crested and is on the verge of crashing on the rocks below, look out. It's going to get ugly.

If these numbers continue to trend the way they're doing now, it spells bad news for the Chicagobama Regime, and good news for the future of the United States of America - the key word being "trend", as in trendy.

These people are not going to go down quietly.

I shudder to think about what kind of strategy the Emanuel/Axelrod machine is cooking up to keep their power structure intact.

Looking Forward to ObamaCare

The reason it is imperative for the Democrats and Obama to make sure this Health Care Plan passes, on the heels of their outrageous “stimulus” package, bank bailout and GM buyout, is that they are running out of money.

Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population and soon, upon retirement, they will end their tax producing years and put a huge strain on the Social Security System. With 40 million fewer children today, there are fewer paying into the Social Security system to reimburse those eligible to receive their portion.
This is one of the reasons behind the hidden provisions in this very dangerous health care bill. AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE ILLEGALS.... Nancy and Barack want to 'take care' of them too, for they are the future Democratic VOTERS.

We have seen this type of dictatorial behavior in the past, when one segment of society has determined itself to be more worthy of life than the rest. We have a choice to go the way of failed, deadly, socialist nations, or to let our voices be heard.
