Do we really need to have a reason not to let any ethnic, religious,or political group to use our own constitution to manipulate our laws vs. common sense to erect a glareing 'in your face' monument to violence against the very principals we are as AMERICANS?

Our President refuses to acknowledge what is so painfully obvious to the rest of America, we who clearly remember the horror of 9-11, must stand up and put an end to this madness by collectively saying "NO!" to the
Islamic "victory" mosque at Ground Zero.

All that said....think of this. America and being proud to be an American is at stake. There has been a constant tearing down. dumbing down and weakinging of 'Patriotism' for America. It's a shame that we have to wait every 4 years to get excited about the Olympics to feel all warm & fuzzy about how great America is. Our kids question when it is appropriate to place their hands over their hearts to pledge or to fold their hands to pray, yet we bend over backwards to accommidate political radicals and Imams. Illegal aliens and those who wish to give them amnesty are causing further means to mutilate, corrode, shatter, and abrade true Patriotism and Pride of all Americans.

Scathing Congress report slams Obama's 'covert, criminal activity'

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued a scathing staff report today charging that the White House has "used the machinery of the Obama campaign to tout the president's agenda through inappropriate and sometimes unlawful public relations and propaganda initiatives."

An advance pre-publication copy of the report, shared by Issa's Washington office with WND, accuses the White House of nothing short of criminal activity. It charges the Obama administration with violating federal laws to advance what the Government Accounting Office has characterized as an unlawful "covert campaign," using federal resources "to activate a sophisticated propaganda and lobbying campaign."

Pulling no punches, the Oversight Republican Report accuses the Obama White House of "violating federal law prohibiting the use of appropriated funds for publicity or propaganda purposes."

"The White house has failed to transition from campaign mode to leadership mode and is now inappropriately leveraging those campaign-trail relationships to unlawfully generate support for the president's agenda," the report concludes.

Read in its entirety, the Oversight Republican Report charges the Obama administration with the type of callous, unethical and possibly criminal manipulation of public opinion that is reminiscent of Watergate and the illegal campaign activities engineered by Donald Segretti on behalf of the Committee to Re-Elect the President during Richard Nixon's presidential election campaign of 1972.

This is all very disturbing. If these allegations can be proven and traced to Obama and his staff, are these grounds for impeachment? Nothing would do more to close the gaping wound in America that has been inflicted by this administration's arrogance and deceit, than to have them removed in public disgrace.

$120,000,000 spent on state-run liquor stores - Washington State

$39,608,662 spent on neighborhood & recreational services - Newark, New Jersey

$7,000,000 spent on museums - Oakland, California

$1,607,367 spent on awards and prizes at county fairs - Illinois

$1,000,000 spent on mural art - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

$750,000 spent on the opera house - Baltimore, Maryland

This week Speaker Pelosi has called the House of Representatives back to Congress. The intent is to spend another $26.1 Billion.

The Porkulus II: what it does....

Forces states to take bailout dollars, bypassing Governors who refuse the money, and forbidding them from making necessary budget cuts.

Gives teachers unions roughly $50 - $100 million through trickle-down.

Will increase the deficit by $12.6 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Will result in a permanent tax increase of $9.7 billion for U.S. multinational companies - increasing the cost of doing business and risking jobs during the recession. (Interestingly, the revenue from these same tax increases have already been spent...twice, in two other pieces of legislation!)

The fact is, the federal government cannot afford to bailout states who refuse to cut back spending. In case Nancy Pelosi forgot, the American people still fund the federal government. If states can't afford it, neither can the federal government. Bailing out states and extending failed stimulus programs only perpetuates states' reliance on the federal government.

What sucks...is there is nothing we can do about it. Guess what? No amount of good conservative candidates can fix this mess...and if they try, they will be the most hated people on earth for reining in, making big cuts and depriving these bloodsuckers who are not willing to give up these programs and entitlements. Hate to say it....a crash and collapse will be easier to endure than living with the long term effects of what Dems have done to America in just the last 2 years.

Time for the United Nations to Leave the United States

War is being waged against the rights of American Citizens, and the enemy HQ is located in New York City, USA. This enemy is the UN.

Two major meetings, possibly affecting American gun owners’ rights, will occur at the United Nations (UN) in New York over the next several weeks. They are the Fourth Biennial Meeting of States to Consider the Implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms in all its Aspects, (“BMS4”) June 14-18, and the Arms Trade Treaty Preparatory Committee (“ATT Prep. Com.”) July 12-23. Wait it gets better.

A Mexican diplomat will chair the meeting and Mexico, which blames its crime problems on the U.S., is now pushing for more gun control in America. Anti-gun, anti-U.S. measures could well be on the table. And what countries leader recently stood before the US Congress and used made up data to blame the US for its woes? Yep, the great bastion of democracy, Mexico. Coincidence? If you believe the life rules of Lee Roy Jethro Gibbs, there is no such thing as coincidence. Let's call this planned happenstance.

The BMS4 is a continuation of the so-called “Programme of Action” (POA) adopted by the UN at a conference in 2001. Anti-gun groups saw the original POA as a vehicle for UN gun bans, registration schemes and other radical proposals. The U.S., through the efforts of Ambassador John Bolton, forced the removal of provisions targeting privately-owned firearms from the POA. It was not able to stop the POA itself, and the UN holds “Biennial” meetings every two years to keep the POA alive. Heavily-funded anti-gun groups will again attempt to get the UN and its member states to target the right to arms at the BMS4.

If this has your head spinning, there's more. There is yet another anti Second Amendment movement in the UN. Its called the Small Arms Treaty. In fact the Washington Times ran a story on June 5, 2010 which claimed the Obama Administration said it would support the treaty. The NRA, has since said that story is false. But the fact remains, the UN Small Arms Treaty does exist and if ratified it could give a foreign government power to over rule the US Constitution in the United States!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the issue here!

Regardless of your stance on guns, you better stand up for the Constitution because if "one goes, they all go". Meaning when one part of the Constitution is neutralized, others will follow in lock step.

Our Constitution and the fact that citizens own guns is what gives us the 'fear factor' that those in the United Nations want to distroy most. Our military couldn't be more spreadout around the world than they are right now and our national guard has gone too....that just leaves us, the citizen patriot to hold down the fort from the schnanigons of the United Nations.

And here's the other issue....after todays mini speech from the prez where he says to hell with all the legal process of appointing judges...(because 80% of his appointees don't pass muster)and let's get those radical liberal gavel holders back to work to 'improve' social justice.

I say, "An armed society is a safer society". This prevents innocent people from becoming victims and may make these "out of control-repeat enabled offenders from carrying on their violent ways.

Law abiding citizens must stand up for themselves since the lawmakers only seem to protect the freakin criminal. Any lawmaker who seeks to destroy your ability to defend your life as guaranteed in the second amendment, should be treated as a thug themselves. Arizona give us the biggest example. They won't respect our rights and our life, we don't respect their inept ability to govern.

Obama's CLAIMED Inherited Deficite

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough ... a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period: (below)

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

WASHINGTON—The U.S. economy ceased to function this week after unexpected existential remarks by Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke shocked Americans into realizing that money is, in fact, just a meaningless and intangible social construct.

What began as a routine report before the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday ended with Bernanke passionately disavowing the entire concept of currency, and negating in an instant the very foundation of the world’s largest economy.

“Though raising interest rates is unlikely at the moment, the Fed will of course act appropriately if we…if we…” said Bernanke, who then paused for a moment, looked down at his prepared statement, and shook his head in utter disbelief. “You know what? It doesn’t matter. None of this—this so-called ‘money’—really matters at all.”

“It’s just an illusion,” a wide-eyed Bernanke added as he removed bills from his wallet and slowly spread them out before him. “Just look at it: Meaningless pieces of paper with numbers printed on them. Worthless.”

According to witnesses, Finance Committee members sat in thunderstruck silence for several moments until Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) finally shouted out, "Oh my God, he's right. It's all a mirage. All of it—the money, our whole economy—it's all a lie!"

Screams then filled the Senate Chamber as lawmakers and members of the press ran for the exits, leaving in their wake aisles littered with the remains of torn currency.

U.S. markets closed as traders left their jobs and resolved for once to do or make something, anything of real value.

As news of the nation's collectively held delusion spread, the economy ground to a halt, with dumbfounded citizens everywhere walking out on their jobs as they contemplated the little green drawings of buildings and dead white men they once used to measure their adequacy and importance as human beings.

At the New York Stock Exchange, Wednesday morning's opening bell echoed across a silent floor as the few traders who arrived for work out of habit looked up blankly at the meaningless scrolling numbers on the flashing screens above.

For some Americans, the fog of disbelief surrounding the nation's epiphany has begun to lift, with many building new lives free from the illusion of money.

"It's back to basics for me," Bernard Polk of Waverly, OH said. "I'm going to till the soil for my own sustenance and get anything else I need by bartering. If I want milk, I'll pay for it in tomatoes. If need a new hoe, I'll pay for it in lettuce."

When asked, hypothetically, how he would pay for complicated life-saving surgery for a loved one, Polk seemed uncertain.

"That's a lot of vegetables, isn't it?" he said.

As quickly as possible, convert it into tangibles, to protect your savings from the ravages of inflation. Consumer price inflation is mild now, but that probably won't be the case in the near future. Adjust your monetary mindset and your modus operandi!

Not only does Todd Gaziano (Congressional appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights) claim that the 2008 Election Day voter intimidation charge against the Philadelphia New Black Panther Party was“open and shut,” but that Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes ordered, “Never bring another lawsuit against a black or other national minority, apparently no matter what they do.”
Like the Van Jones story, the ACORN story, and the Charlie Bolden/Muslim outreach story, this is another example of stories the MSM doesn’t want you to know about. And why not?

This is very disturbing! Fifty-four percent (54%) of the total combined deficits of all the states in 2009 and 2010 are attributable to spending on illegal aliens. And this number ($84 billion annually) is probably understated in that it probably does not include the amount we spend for border control, law enforcement, and incarceration of illegal alien criminals. In addition, when one considers that these illegals do not pay much in taxes and take jobs from unemployed Americans, it is obvious that the price we pay for not enforcing our laws is unsustainable and immoral. And this is not racist...I'd say the same thing about any invasion from a foreign country. If Canadians were coming over by the millions and taking advantage of our system and sending the money home...I'd feel the same way.

And, instead of protecting the border which is one of his primary constitutional requirements, our manchurian president has the gaul to sue Arizona for trying to enforce the laws that the Federal government won't enforce. It's dereliction of duty! Look that one up, mr president, it's right above "deresive".

Barry, to quote Governor Brewer, "it's time to step up and do your job! Protect the border"!
Maybe the American people better sue YOU! Not protecting our country is an impeachable offense, you fool! (but then, the american people are cowards, right? Isn't that what your administration thinks and are counting on?)

Here is paragraph 18 of the Federal Government's complaint of injunction against Arizona:

and repeat offenders; certain gang members; aliens subject to outstanding criminal warrants;and fugitive aliens, especially those with criminal records.

The above is bizarre and simply not true. Enforcement priorities? Are you kidding? The reason the Feds prioritize arrests is because of limited resources - not because it is ok to violate the law. It's not ok to violate the law. The Feds simply don't have the manpower in law enforcement and the money to arrest and hold everyone who violates the law so naturally the Fed prioritize and focus on the most violent. But in this instance, the state of Arizona is saying essentially, "we will help. We will pick up the tab - manpower and custody for the Feds."

The Economy and just about any other topic that is Headlining could erupt, distrupt or distruct at any time. US Treasurer, Tim Geithner described last week that our country can no longer be the one others look out to. " USA will no longer drive world economic growth", we can no longer consider the USA as the champion for every cause or the country with political clout. We live in a very fragile state and tomorrow could bring the one trigger that could send us over the edge.
Until recently, most people in the United States of America did not believe that President Obama's mission was actually to destroy our country.

If we are to survive as a nation and a people—or simply survive at all—we will have to rebuild it almost from the ground up, collapse or not. In order to do so, we will have to rid ourselves of the Marxist traitors to this country who now inhabit and infest the All 3, Judicial, Congressional and Executive branches of government in Washington DC and many of our State elected offices. If we are to survive and, again, begin to live, we must never allow an anti-human Marxist and/or Maoist contingent to enter any form of government—let alone the office of president.
The US Declaration of Independence—our nation’s first founding document—tells us what is required of We-the-People.

It reads in part: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to SECURE these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. Of particular significance is the last sentence which I reiterate:

As we are being herded more and more every day into the fenced in Obama dictatorship, you—WE—must now make our choice. But, before you make your decision please remember this: To do nothing is to submit. We either choose to live in true freedom or the squalor Obama has planned for us.

US City Taken Over By Illegal Immigrants

Dateline Maywood, California. This Los Angeles County municipality --- 97% Hispanic, 40% illegal --- was one of the first cities to declare itself a sanctuary city and to demand a boycott of the state of Arizona for enforcing immigration laws. It's city council is entirely Hispanic and dominated by La Raza racists. Years ago, it prohibited its police department from confiscating cars from unlicensed drivers. It has demanded Congress grant unconditional amnesty to illegal immigrants. It is every progressive left/Wall Street Journal policy on open borders concentrated in one Los Angeles suburb.

How's that working out for them?

Today, Maywood is broke. Its police department dismantled along with all other city departments and personnel. Only the city council remains and a city manager to manage the contracts with other agencies for city services in Maywood.
Even the L.A. Times called the Maywood Police Department a "haven for misfit cops." Their story alleged that a veteran officer was extorting sex from relatives of a criminal fugitive; that another officer tried to run over the president of the Maywood Police Commission; and that another officer has impregnated a teenage police-explorer scout.

Maywood is the end result of what Obama-Napolitano-La Raza-the Arizona boycotters and the editorial board of the WSJ want for America.

...and I invite anyone who's ever said .....but their just good people looking for a better life or"...we WELCOME immigration, we just want to stop criminals from coming in..."to live for a week in Maywood.

I'll wager that (illegal immigration aside) most of those folks are not criminals or terrorists. But you c'mon down and see what it's like. Check out what these folks do to a neighborhood. They have a third-world, almost tribal way of life AND ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION OF CHANGING IT.

The sickly squalor, the noise, the ignorance, the bigotry (oh yes, white bleeding heart progressives, your Latino amigos don't look at you with love in their eyes!)...you try living with that for a while.

THEN realize that you're looking at literally thousands of square miles that are mostly Latino ghettos with a few areas holding on by their fingernails to stay nice. When immigrants, both legal and illegal, come here and don't assimilate, they bring their form of "justice, law and government" with them - all of which are corrupt in their home countries.

THE PROGRESSIVES ARE COUNTING ON WHITES STAYING GUILT-RIDDEN UNTIL THE INVASION IS COMPLETE. Once that happens, that pesky Constitution will suddenly not apply anymore, and the re-Mexification of the U.S. will be a fait accompli.

But according to this FSB report the largest seller of BP stock in the weeks before this disaster occurred was the American investment company known as Vanguard who through two of their financial arms (Vanguard Windsor II Investor and Vanguard Windsor Investor) unloaded over 1.5 million shares of BP stock saving their investors hundreds of millions of dollars, chief among them President Obama.

For though little known by the American people, their President Obama holds all of his wealth in just two Vanguard funds, Vanguard 500 Index Fund where he has 3 accounts and the Vanguard FTSE Social Index Fund where he holds another 3 accounts, all six of which the FSB estimates will earn Obama nearly $8.5 million a year and which over 10 years will equal the staggering sum of $85 million.

The FSB further estimates in this report that through Obama’s 3 accounts in the Vanguard 500 Index Fund he stands to make another $100 million over the next 10 years as their largest stock holding is in the energy giant Exxon Mobil they believe will eventually acquire BP and all of their assets for what will be essentially a “rock bottom” price and which very predictably BP has hired Goldman Sachs to advise them on.

Important to note is that none of this wealth Obama, Goldman Sachs, and other American elites is acquiring would be possible without this disaster, all of whom, as the evidence shows, “somehow” knew what was going to happen before it actually did, including the US energy giant Halliburton who 2 weeks prior to this disaster just happened to purchase the World’s largest oil disaster service company Boots & Coots”.

Is Obama's BP Shakedown an Impeachable Offense?

The president has no legal authority to create the escrow fund and no authority to compel BP to contribute to the fund. Forcing BP to agree to the terms of the escrow is ultra vires (i.e., illegal), beyond the powers of his office. Rep. Barton (R-TX) accurately described the slush fund as a "shakedown" (i.e., blackmail), a felony. If so, Pres. Obama has committed an impeachable offense. Congress itself does not have the authority to create the escrow fund retroactively. Congress will have no voice at all except to vilify any Republican who raises questions about it. All the ACORN employees who lost their jobs when the banks stopped paying "blackmail" to ACORN may be getting better-paying new jobs processing claims.

No doubt the media, which show pictures of the spill and pelicans covered with oil 24 hours a day, seven days a week, will hail the president's tough dealing with BP. But BP's oil spill deserves the strongest action under the law, not above the law. A few miles away, there are pelicans flying "free as a bird" with no oil on them. Not a single photo of them. And more than 10,000 barrels of the spilled oil are being recovered by BP daily with no photos at all; vessels are skimming oil near the spill, and no photos. And the federal government has yet to grant exception to the Jones Act that is preventing foreign vessels ready to skim oil from getting closer to shore to prevent more serious damage which would, incidentally, help save a lot of pelicans. No wonder BP believed it had to surrender to the president.

You don't have to be paranoid to suspect the president (and many in the media) of ulterior motives, a hidden agenda. If you can get enough people to hate the oil companies, you might get the cap-and-trade bill passed. By the time they regret such hasty action, it will be too late to undo the damage. Cap-and-trade was given no chance for passage before the spill. The president pacified the environmental extremists by banning drilling in the Gulf for six months, adding to the rolls of the unemployed and increasing our dependence on foreign oil. To make the hidden agenda more believable, the president overreached by getting BP to agree to pay the lost wages incurred by workers who lost their jobs as the result of the president's six-month moratorium on drilling in the Gulf. The hidden agenda obviously includes getting cap-and-trade passed. It looks like "cap-and-trade, cap-and-trade, cap-and-trade" has displaced "jobs, jobs, jobs."

The president employed a similar tactic when he nationalized GM, violating the bankruptcy laws by denying bondholders their rightful control of the future of those enterprises, and he gave the bondholders' interest in GM to the unions instead, literally. He gave Chrysler to Fiat. The bondholders of both gave their consent, being afraid of having their asses kicked or having a boot on their necks.

When an executive uses threats to secure the "cooperation" of private businesses, we have a name for it: fascism. It is the kind of act we expect from Venezuela's Chávez, not from a president who swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution and its separation of powers. I believe the President's behavior is ultra vires and that he has committed an impeachable offense.

Citing what he believes are clear signs the economy is bouncing back from recession,Vice-President Joe Biden yesterday touted Barack Obama's 'stimulus package' and bailout of Wall Street.

The Obama administration's economic stimulus program has allocated $620 billion so far and created or saved at least 2.3 million jobs, Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday. "The Recovery Act is working," Biden said. "It's going to continue to work. It's not over."

Time for yet another fact-check on the pathological liars of the Obama Administration.

Banks are failing at double the rate of last year. During 2009, which the government claims was the peak of the recession, the total number of bank failures at this point in the year was 40. It is already 83 for this year. As losses have mounted on loans made for commercial property and development, the growing bank failures have sapped billions of dollars out of the deposit insurance fund. It fell into the red last year, and its deficit stood at $20.7 billion as of March 31. Yet the FDIC is running ads on radio stations across the country attempting to scare people away from keeping their savings at home and making the wildly erroneous and reckless assertion that as long as the FDIC insures bank accounts they can never fail, no matter what. That statement is a bare-faced lie.

The FDIC depends on bank fees and taxpayers to insure deposits in banks. So, what if banks continue to fail? Where will the money come from to 'cover' bank accounts? A taxpayers bailout? Such a notion is also ludicrous when the U.S. is in debt by over 13 TRILLION dollars, and when one adds in unfunded liabilities, that debt is actually 109 trillion. usdebtclock

If the U.S. were to sell every single asset we have--land, homes, businesses, everything, the total value would be roughly 50 trillion. Thus, we are in debt at the rate of DOUBLE the amount of our entire value.

In addition, the number of jobs the Obama Administration claims it has 'saved or created' includes multiple thousands of temporary jobs, such as census workers, who will be out of work very shortly. The private sector is clearly NOT rebounding when it comes to job creation.

One more dire indicator of continued economic distress is the rate of home loan defaults and foreclosures. The number of homes repossessed during April is at an all-time high of 92,432. That is a 45% increase over April 2009. If repossessions continue at this pace, more than 1.1 million homes will be lost in 2010. About one in four U.S. homeowners is underwater and 5 million of those borrowers owe mortgage debt that exceeds their property values by 25% or more. The total of negative equity in these deeply underwater borrowers is a whopping $655 billion.

These various factors add up to one simple, sobering truth--the economy is not on the rebound, and the Obama Administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress (which has been in Democrat hands since 2006) can take little comfort in what that means for the upcoming midterm elections in November....but alot can happen between now and then...are you prepared?

Opportunity to stop the Obama-EPA power grab

Certain members in Congress
are challenging the aggressive encroachment of Obama's
statist tentacles by introducing a resolution (SJ Res. 26)
to disapprove the EPA's over-reaching actions. This
resolution would block the EPA from imposing the Obama
carbon scheme.

Sen. Murkowski has pledged that the Senate will vote on
this issue, likely before the end of the month. That
means citizens have just a few weeks at most to let
their voices be heard.

Clearly, Obama is using the EPA to force Congress to act.
If the EPA ruling stands, Obama wins either way. Through
the EPA or Congress, another sector of the economy will
fall under the control of the Obama administration.

Starting in July 2011, new sources of at least 100,000 tons of greenhouse gases a year and any existing plants that increase emissions by 75,000 tons will have to seek permits, the agency said.

In the first two years, the E.P.A. expects the rule to affect about 15,550 sources, including coal-fired plants, refineries, cement manufacturers, solid waste landfills and other large polluters.

Last fall the E.P.A. had indicated that the bar would be set at 25,000 tons a year, which would have imposed the permit requirement on smaller entities like family farms and large apartment buildings. Once the DOOR is opened, the threat of EPA's over-reaching actions is endless.

US Land Off Limits to Americans...

The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge and 3,500 acres consisting of a 80 miles stretch along the southern Arizona and the Mexican border is closed to U.S. citizens due to increased violence in the region.

This really isn't news. It was closed in October 2006 "due to human safety concerns," the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Wednesday in response to news reports on the closure.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife officials have warned visitors in Arizona to beware of heavily armed drug smugglers and human traffickers.

"The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent," said refuge manager Mitch Ellis.

The refuge, that is more like a people eroded dump, has been adversely affected by the increase in drug smugglers, illegal activity and surveillance, which makes it dangerous for Americans to visit....why would you?

Signs have been posted warning Americans not to cross into the closed off territory south of Interstate 8. Arizona needs more resources to help scale back the violence caused by the drug cartels.

We need action! It’s shameful that we, as the most powerful nation on Earth, … can’t even secure our own border and protect our nation. If North Korea, Iraq, China or any other country was invading the USA by thousands a day, armed with guns and willing to kill....things would be much different. Why aren't they today?

Agriculture Needs Your Support...Now

Agriculture's silent crisis:

We should prepare for hard times. All forcasts for America are not good. The political face has changed, the government is taking over the private sector and people in power are creating more policy offered by ‘experts,’ many of whom are direct descendants of 19th century snake oil salesmen or are gorelike crazy scientists or are old 60's radicals- with agendas.

We can no longer let the treehuggers and uneducated liberals sway policies that restrict production and create lasting impact on how US agriculture has provided cheap food for it's citizens for centuries.
We no longer have the luxury of picking between animal rights and meat production. We don't have the luxury of choosing between minnows and California farmers.
We no longer have the luxury of investing in years of 'research' before we move forward on every issue... unless it is CapandTrade or Open Borders with little care to long range effects.
We no longer have the luxury of trusting the education of our children to school systems who indoctrinate.
We no longer have the luxury of providing health care for those who will not work to better themselves.
We no longer have the luxury of ignoring how other countries are cheating in international trade and just calling it laissez faire.
We don't have the luxury of not building nuclear energy plants or restricting energy reserves for the future, our future is now.
We don't have the luxury of pretending wolves don't stalk and eat little children and livestock. We don't have the luxury any more to pretend sharks don't deplete fish stocks. We don't have the luxury to pretend bears don't break into homes and kill people.
We don't have the luxury of trying to have the omlette without breaking the egg, or that butchering hurts.
We don't have the luxury to trust elected officials, the mainstream or free press, bonds with other countries, or the judicial system.

A safe and productive America is one that has mines, steel mills, meat production, grain in storage, oil wells, a strong military and honest politicians.
To cry that the sky is falling and that our country is Broke, then continue proposing protectionist measures (economic, political and social), will not only NOT reverse the trend of where we are headed, but most likely make things worse. We can't shut down all offshore oil production to spank the one that leaked, instead we should look to why they have to go so far out in the first place. Extracting oil on land is far safer and cheaper to produce, so I hope the environmental wackos like the tradgedy they created...it's not the method or blowout preventers or uncharted method of cleanup, it's Why do they need to be out there in the first place??

Fuel makes the world go around and the US stable....the supply and cost of fuel is detrimental to all aspects of everything we do or consume.

The mood in the country is alarmist and reactionary, but those in agriculture have always responsed with adaptibility and attitude of roll with the punches, so-to-speak. Yes, we need to be ready to accept and adapt to any change, like it or not. The problem lies with how the People will adapt to less food on the grocery shelves. The big question, and one that history offers, has varied answers. Without low energy costs, less food will be produced or the food prices "will neccesarily skyrocket". For every action politicians and environmental extremists take, there is a reaction. These people with curious ideas about the place of modern agriculture, present liberal ideas that have little to do with the realities of making a living on a ranch or a farm. People who live in the cities better wake up. They have the voting power to protect their food source. Urban districts are loaded with big voting blocks and big money, they can do massive damage or collectively get behind the family farm. If city-people want to pick a cause to get behind, it should be the forgotton ones in agriculture. You have to know who 'really' butters your bread. Obama and his ilk will have you believe in redistribution of wealth. I say, he's not talking about $$$, he's talking about food/welfare.... and when there is a shortage of good food, 'everyone' no matter your status, will be in the same boat.

But let's not be so foolish as to expect we can keep production agriculture as it has been. Those days are over. Those in DC want a Modern Agriculture. Modern agriculture is big business. It has to be in order to feed a rapidly growing world population. They want to Increase Exports to have a bigger stake in the Global Economy and to pay off their tremendous foreign debt. Today Obama sent 400 million to Gaza...on top of millions to Haiti. Where's that money come from? I say, we need to keep our OWN people fed first. Paying off national debt with exports is not the ahh hahh solution. Exports should be the leftovers or the surplus of a good year, not the target.

And for you treehuggers I say this, Corporate Agriculture is the only part of the industry that needs regulation. They have no love of the land and it's ecosystems. It's all about the 'profit' and they can pick up and leave to other states and even other countries, if the bottom lines can be increased. American farmers are 'true' environmentalists and protect the land that they 'own'. And to Washington I say, cancel every usda program and all the ag subsidies, especially the ones that ration production. You can have them all...in return set a 'fixed price' for off-road fuel used for agriculture production. That's it. Mother nature should be the only storm to worry about, not policies set in DC. Government needs to get out of small agriculture just as they need to butt the hell out of ALL small business. The private sector is America's saving grace and when it is forgotton for the 'global good', there goes America.

So, you city dwellers, if the economy crashes, don't you be thinking on day tripping to the country for your veggies. We are not the fat-cats or the rich ready to distribute to the rich...it doesn't work that way, no more than it works to go to an oil rig to get gas for your car.

Support agriculture by voting for small Government and 'believe' in the Constitution as written.
As prominent Democrat James Carville said last week, "..., the political stupidity [of this administration] is unbelievable!"
Democrats now have permission to abandon partylines and vote common sense.
Don't give up. Instead vote for sanity in November and food on your plate in the near future.

A Nation’s well-being is the Rationale for Resignations or IMPEACHMENT...

President Lincoln issued this warning in his inaugural address, “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one. This is a most valuable and sacred right – a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world.” Being a representative republic, not a democracy, “rising up” means other than revolution by means of arms. The people must “rise up” from the grass roots across this great country as we think of the greater good of this and future generations. We are limited in the peaceful transfer of power…resignation, death, elections, and impeachment.

The oath of office is simple and reads: “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Sadly, we have seen the Obama and progressive Democrats violate their oath. Fraud, lying, and corruption are rampant and some have engaged in treasonous activities, and they effectively thumb their noses at us and have sold you to the highest bidder.

The Articles of Confederation were replaced with the Constitution the federal government enough authority to cultivate, promote and secure the Blessings of Liberty. The balance of authority and individual liberty was understood. Power was confined to that which was enumerated in the Constitution, which granted with a certain and meaningful intent for check and balances.

Firearms Freedom Act; Nullification

6/1/2010, Alaska Governor Sean Parnell signed House Bill 186 (HB186), the Firearms Freedom Act. It passed the House by a vote of 32-7 and the Senate by a vote of 18-1. Alaska now joins Montana, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Idaho, and Arizona as the eighth state to have passed the act into law.

The United States Constitution gives Congress the authority to regulate Interstate Commerce between the states and 18 USC 922 makes it unlawful for any person not licensed as a manufacturer or dealer in firearms to engage in the business of manufacturing or dealing in firearms. Collectively, the Interstate Commerce Clause and 18 USC 922 are used by the federal goverenment as a means to regulate firearms.

The Alaska Firearms Freedom Act addresses this by exempting firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition manufactured and retained in the state from all federal firearm control laws including registration, as firearms that meet these criteria cannot be regulated by the federal government because they have not traveled in interstate commerce.

In a prepared statement, the Act’s sponsor, Representative Mike Kelly said: “The Alaska Firearms Freedom Act frees Alaskans from overly-bureaucratic and restrictive federal firearm regulation, and allows our state to assume the responsibility for regulation. The Interstate Commerce Clause is used by the federal government to regulate firearms that cross state borders. The Alaska Firearms Freedom Act makes it clear that Alaskans will be responsible for firearms that are made in Alaska, for use in Alaska, and have ‘Made in Alaska’ stamped on them.”

The principle behind such legislation is nullification, which has a long history in the American tradition. When a state ‘nullifies’ a federal law, it is proclaiming that the law in question is void and inoperative, or ‘non-effective,’ within the boundaries of that state; or, in other words, not a law as far as the state is concerned. Implied in such legislation is that the state apparatus will enforce the act against all violations – in order to protect the liberty of the state’s citizens.

The Tenth Amendment:"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

This week, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on a “resolution of disapproval,” sponsored by Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, to stop the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from “enacting” controversial global warming policies through the regulatory back door.

The importance of this vote is difficult to exaggerate. Nothing less than the integrity of our constitutional system of separated powers and democratic accountability hangs in the balance.

The Murkowski resolution would overturn the EPA’s “endangerment finding,” a December 2009 rulemaking in which the agency concluded that greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health and welfare. The endangerment finding is both trigger and precedent for sweeping policy changes that Congress never approved. America could end up with a regulatory regime more costly and intrusive than any climate bill or treaty the Senate has declined to pass or ratify, yet without people’s representatives ever voting on it.

Unless stopped, the EPA will be in a position to determine the stringency of fuel economy standards for the auto industry, set climate policy for the nation, and even amend the Clean Air Act — powers never delegated to the agency by Congress.

The Murkowski resolution puts a simple question squarely before the Senate: Who shall make climate policy? Her position is simply that climate policy is too important to be made by non-elected bureaucrats.

By issuing an endangerment finding, the EPA will deal itself into a position to control the economy — both mobile and stationary sources — for climate change purposes. Yet the Clean Air Act gives the EPA no such authority. Congress enacted the Clean Air Act in 1970, decades before global warming was even a topic of congressional debate. That is why phrases like “greenhouse gas,” “greenhouse effect,” and “global climate change” appear nowhere in the statute.

Liberals know that regulatory zealotry has a long history of trampling on constitutional principle, and many lawmakers would simply prefer to let the non-elected bureaucrats at the EPA take the heat for “enacting” costly climate policies.

Who shall make climate policy — lawmakers who must answer to the people at the ballot box OR politically unaccountable bureaucrats, trial lawyers, and activist judges appointed for life?

Small Farm and pure economic protectionism

Every day in the United States, close to 3,000 acres of productive farmland are lost to development. Adapting to survive, many farmers have embraced a new paradigm that focuses on agricultural models custom-fit to changing markets and filling local niche markets with specialty produce and value-added products. The movement seems to be working.

Nearly 300,000 new farms have begun operations since 2002, according to recent Agricultural Census data. Compared with all farms nationwide, these new arrivals tend to have more diversified production, fewer acres, lower total-dollar sales and operators who also work off-farm. Most tend to be family run and do not need the so-called migrant worker. Interestingly, many of these operations are located in decidedly urban and suburban areas.

“All agriculture cannot serve niche markets,” says Karen McAdams, North Carolina State University agricultural service extension agent, “but there are many potential opportunities for farmers to take advantage of local urban markets and the increased demand for local foods.”

Nationally, there is a movement toward consuming locally raised foods. More than eight in 10 consumers (85 percent) say they trust smaller-scale family farms to produce safe, nutritious food. It's fresh, maybe cheaper and healthier, right?
So, why are the local, state or federal governments making laws and mandates about FOOD? They pay their taxes so, what's the problem here?

(The ordinance seems to me to be patently unconstitutional, as it is pure economic protectionism.)

Small business is and always will be the strength of America. This is about competition and control. You see it everywhere. Big businesses do whatever they can to compete and get a bigger piece of the pie. They will put up and maintain whatever barriers to entry into a share of their market. Make no mistake, big local businesses are conspiring with local government to restrict consumer choice in your hometown. Right now.

The competion between downtown grocery chains and WalMart is driven by the same thing. It's just that WalMart types offer local government such a huge tax revenue stream that they can get away with things that small local businesses can't. They also have been subsidized by local government through land taxes, so they have a vested interest in their success.

But small businesses are still the most important engine of growth, even more so in tough times when growth is hard to come by. Consider any 'future event' that would cause nationwide or statewide crippling of the flow of goods to stock these big-box stores. If they are the only show in town, the common good of the region is effected equally. Having choices and varied resources to buy local is to everyone's benefit and shame on the public officials that would want to hamper that growth.

And it's a shame to see what rights and liberties the governments of all sizes are willing to sacrifice for what they say is for the common good. Just how can restricting consumer choice ever be for the common good? For the common good of competing businesses--maybe.

Politicians make the mistake of not hearing the people, they spend the peoples money, and then they increase taxes.

For those who have or think they have alot of money, adjusting will be a slow, slow painful process.
The so-called middle class have been adjusting for quite some time.
The Prepared have a much different approach and that is to Unplug from the system.

No matter, sooner or later, Vat or Flat, high taxes will change the profile and proclivities of the American people.

Americans by nature are pretty savvy, creative and inventive people. We could all just not pay taxes period and teach them a big lesson, because afterall, they can't put us ALL in jail, right? Nah... but there are options that hit politicians and municipalities in the pocket book and it's also completely legal and ethical.

* They say you can't squeeze blood from a turnip, so if you are living a lifestyle that allows you to work for minimum wage, then do it. Remember it's something like 40% of Americans who actually pay taxes in this country...Become one of the 60% who don't, and increase those numbers to 80% or more. If you are financially stable then work less whenever you possibly can and stay home.

* Drive as little as possible so you don't pay as much in fuel taxes.(Store some fuel,if you can,before the price goes up). If you can ride a bike, do it...not to go green, but to hit them in the pocket book. Walk more.

* Do you need that new TV, that new video, or that new whatever toy? Don't buy it. Avoid the sales tax every way that you can. Remember after 9/11 Bush told us to go out and spend our money for the economy? What good did that do for us? Hit them in the pocket book and refuse to contribute to anything that generates sales tax revenue. Shop at garage sales whenever possible..that's how you can help your local economy and keep money flowing to your friends and neighbors who need it most. Buy from them, not the big chain stores, tax free.

* Food. Many states impose sales tax on food...don't contribute. Grow your own, Can your own, Store your own. Keep the money at home. Start a garden or go to farmers markets. Barter with neighbors.
Shop LOCAL and support local. At least the taxes that do get paid stay local. Then there's classifieds, craigslist, internet sites, ebay and other taxfree outlets.

* Don't die. If you don't want your family to share your assets with the Gov's death tax, distribute or enjoy it now.

* Family - Staycations or local weekend outings...spend time with your family. Family fun comes cheap with local parades & backyard BBQ's, Arts in the Park and festivals, camping or day hikes. Become a tourist in your own state, just do it in ways that don't contribute to the tax base.

* Quit drinking if you can...or make your own. As far as I know you can legally make wine or brew your own beer most places in this country. Remember, don't let them get the tax revenue.
Quit smoking if you possibly can. (there's a reason they don't want to outright ban tobacco...it makes them too much tax money)

* If you can, live small, rent or think RV lifestyle. Don't pay the outrageous property taxes. If you feel the need to own a home, then own as cheap and small of a home as possible...they assess taxes based on property value. If you do intend to keep your home and plan to never sell, then do whatever you legally and ethically can to drive your property value down. Do you really need that addition or even fresh coat of paint? The inside can be as luxurious as possible but the exterior should be modest and plain....sound counter productive? I think not, not if it saves you money. Housing has gone down in value from 5 years ago, so have your property assessment readjusted at courthouse.

* Do you have extra vehicles that don't get used much? Boats, atv's, snowmobiles,etc. If you can sell them, then do, or at least park them and let the tags expire. Vehicle registrations are a big tax hole. Drive older cars especially if you live in a state that bases registration costs on the value of the car.

* Credit cards. Cut them up. Pay cash. Don't let the credit card companies profiteer off you. Get your finances off the grid so Federal Government can't get MORE income taxes.

* Utilities? Your call, since you will be spending more time at home, so enjoy. Phone and cable? Just look at that statement and see all the taxes added to the bottom line. Maybe you can do away with the landline and just use your cell phone.

When you start to pay attention to ALL the taxes, you will see that you have a bigger stake in the decision of VAT vs. Flat tax.
Unplug yourself from the system, at least as much as you possibly can, because you and everyone else will be doing it SOON anyway. Don't feed their system...starve it. It will suffer and they'll be forced to make real change.

Barney Fricken Frank

Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, sent a letter this week to the White House urging the President to reject the attempt by Republicans to include GSE (Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac) reform in any financial reform bill. Frank argued that had already been reformed and did not need to be included in the Senate’s financial reform bill. Frank told democratic senators, “As Fannie and Freddie operate today, going forward, there is no loss.”

President Bush warned the Democratic Congress 17 times in 2008 alone about the systemic consequences of financial turmoil at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and also put forward thoughtful plans to reduce the risk that either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac would encounter such difficulties. Unfortunately, these warnings went unheeded, as the President’s repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those like Frank and Pelosi who emphatically denied there were problems.

Instead of curtailing the power of these failed mortgage giants, Frank passed legislation that limited oversight of Freddie and Fannie’s mortgage holdings.
Morgen Richmond added this on Frank’s failed record:

Let it be noted that in May 2007 Barney Frank and the Democrat-controlled House would go on to pass GSE reform legislation. Legislation which was adamantly opposed by the Treasury Dept. and the Bush Administration for limiting federal oversight of Fannie and Freddie’s mortgage holdings. Legislation which included Frank’s pet project, an “affordable housing” fund backed by tax payers.

Let it also be noted that going into 2007 Fannie and Freddie had never in history been allowed to purchase or finance sub-prime mortgages. But under pressure from Democrats in Congress (including Frank), they were granted this authority by regulators in September 2007.

Let it also be noted that in 2007 Frank aggressively pushed to increase the maximum loan limits which could be underwritten by the GSE’s. A move which would ultimately transfer tens of billions of dollars of loan liabilities from private financial institutions to tax payers.

It’s no wonder that even after the total collapse of Fannie and Freddie in 2008, at an ultimate cost to tax payers which could exceed $400B, Barney Frank is still adamantly opposed to legislation which would prevent any further federal bailouts of the GSE’s. For Democrats like Frank, continued control over Fannie and Freddie represents the effective nationalization of the entire mortgage industry. It’s a dream come true for those who wish to use the power of the federal government to implement their desired social and redistributive policies.

Barney Frank was a key figure at the center of the financial collapse in 2008. Today he’s still pushing his radical and misguided agenda on America. He never learns.

I Have a Plan to Destroy America

I have a secret plan to destroy America. If you believe, as many do, that America is too smug, too white bread, too self-satisfied, too rich, lets destroy America. It is not that hard to do. History shows that nations are more fragile than their citizens think. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. All great civilizations rise and they all fall, and that "an autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide." here is my plan:

1. We must first make America a bilingual-bicultural country. History shows, that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy. Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, Lebanon ---- all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with its Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans.

2. I would then invent "multiculturalism" and encourage immigrants to maintain their own culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal: that there are no cultural differences that are important. I would declare it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rate is only due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out-of-bounds.

3. We can make the United States a "Hispanic Quebec" without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with a salad bowl metaphor. It is important to insure that we have various cultural sub-groups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than Americans, emphasizing their similarities.

4. Having done all this, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated - I would add a second underclass, un-assimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% drop out rate from school.

5. I would then get the big foundations and big business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of Victimology. I would get all minorities to think their lack of success was all the fault of the majority - I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population.

6. I would establish dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would "Celebrate diversity." "Diversity” is a wonderfully seductive word. It stresses differences rather than commonalities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other-that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse,” peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent, until America was first established.

7. Then I would place all these subjects off limits - make it taboo to talk about. I would find a word similar to “heretic” in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like “racist”, “xenophobe” that halts argument and conversation. Having made america a bilingual-bicultural country, having established multiculturalism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of “Victimology,” I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra - “that because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good.” I would make every individual immigrant sympatric and ignore the cumulative impact.

8. Lastly, I would censor. All forms of media and written word like Victor Davis Hanson’s book “Mexifornia.” This book is dangerous — it exposes my plan to destroy America. So please, please — if you feel that America deserves to be destroyed - please, please - don’t buy this book! This guy is on to my plan. The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the Spectrum of acceptable opinion.

When contemplating the issue of illegal immigration and what to do about it, you first have to understand the ideas behind it. However,the question we need to be asking ourselves and members of Congress is:

The majority of Americans voted for this idiot as president. I therefore can only conclude that the majority of Americans are stupid.....and they are making babies. America got the president it deserves. The people that voted for Obama are STILL too stupid to know it yet. They believed his campaign 'commercials'. Even during debates with Hillary and McCain he touted crap that he knew was impossible just to put a shine on the turd he was pushing and people ate it up!

They did no research on the man because even though they had an internet search engine, they were too lazy to use it. They bought into thinking it was cool to help make history of the first 'black' in office.
They vote on their local and state officials based on who has the better or most signs stuck in yards. They might catch a few commercials and base their whole opinion and vote by who was the most clever or who addressed the one issue they feel is important to them, without doing any research as to what that person actually is lying about.

If there's one thing we have all learned about campaining and pre-election time, with Obama giving us all the perfect example, is "what you see, is NOT what you get"!

How Mexico Treats Illegal Aliens

Mexican president Felipe Calderón has accused Arizona of opening the door “to intolerance, hate, discrimination, and abuse in law enforcement.” The National Council of La Raza, Al Sharpton, Catholic bishops, and their grievance-mongering followers are all crying injustice and racism by Americans who want to uphold existing LAW.

But Arizona has nothing on Mexico when it comes to cracking down on illegal aliens. While open-borders activists decry the new enforcement measures signed into law in the great State of Arizona last week, they should be reminded of the unapologetical restrictionist policies of our neighbors to the south.

The Arizona law bans sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce immigration laws, stiffens penalties against illegal-alien day laborers and their employers, makes it a misdemeanor for immigrants to fail to complete and carry an alien-registration document, and allows the police to arrest immigrants unable to show documents proving they are in the U.S. legally.

Let's take a look at the the regulations and restrictions imposed by Mexico on foreigners:

* The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.” How’s that for racial and ethnic profiling?

* If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not welcome. Neither are those who show “contempt against national sovereignty or security.” They must not be economic burdens on society and must have clean criminal histories. Those seeking to obtain Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam, and prove they can provide their own health care.

* Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment. Document fraud is subject to fine and imprisonment; so is alien marriage fraud. Evading deportation is a serious crime; illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by ten years’ imprisonment. Foreigners may be kicked out of the country without due process and the endless bites at the litigation apple that illegal aliens are afforded in our country (see, for example, President Obama’s illegal-alien aunt — a fugitive from deportation for eight years who is awaiting a second decision on her previously rejected asylum claim).

* Law-enforcement officials at all levels — by national mandate — must cooperate to enforce immigration laws, including illegal-alien arrests and deportations. The Mexican military is also required to assist in immigration-enforcement operations. Native-born Mexicans are empowered to make citizens’ arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.

* Ready to show your papers? Mexico’s National Catalog of Foreigners tracks all outside tourists and foreign nationals. A National Population Registry tracks and verifies the identity of every member of the population, who must carry a citizens’ identity card. Visitors who do not possess proper documents and identification are subject to arrest as illegal aliens.

If America was to enforce the same laws that Mexico imposes on illegals coming into their country, we wouldn't have this problem. Instead we have open-borders protesters marching freely at the Capitol building in Arizona, comparing Republican governor Jan Brewer to Hitler, waving Mexican flags, advocating that demonstrators “smash the state,” and holding signs that proclaimed “No human is illegal” and “We have rights.” This mindset smacks of entitlement and invasion....not the grateful safe-harbor attitude of our ancestors and immigrants of today who come in the front door.

I hope when they head home via "self-deporting" as opposed to legal deportation, that they ban together and protest their own government. They have had a taste of what they want, freedom and prosperity.... so I say, protest and get active to clear out the corrupt Mexican Government and the drug lords and take back your own Country! I am sure that Americans will back you, because yes, you do have Rights, Mexican Rights!

Pay Attention to Agriculture!

The AG community is becoming more and more alarmed at the potential impact of Cap and Trade on not only the COST of food, but also its AVAILABILITY!

Food prices jumped by 2.4 percent in March, the most since January 1984. Vegetable prices soared by more than 49 percent, the most in 15 years. Gasoline prices rose 2.1 percent, the department said, the fifth rise in six months.
In the past year, wholesale prices are up 6 percent, with much of that increase driven by higher oil prices.

NO ONE in the news media, Fox News included, is talking about this!

The "Indirect Land Use" provision of the house-passed Cap and Trade bill will, by itself, transform up to 59 million acres of cropland back into forest. This is about 14.5% of US cropland, according to the USDA. This will reduce crop acreage and increase food prices. And that's just a small part of the bill!

As progressives intentionally increase the cost of oil-based fuel, it will have potentially devastating impacts on food prices and food production. One of the leading agriculture analysts in the country said that the US will be "transformed" from the world's largest exporter of ag products into a net food IMPORTER! That's amazing, because for generations, America has been the breadbasket to the world.

The average American farm is about 10 times more productive than the farms throughout the rest of the world. The main reason for this is cheap, abundant availability of crude oil. Farm machinery runs mostly on diesel fuel. If that fuel is too costly -- or UNAVAILABLE -- then food production would plummet and we could see shortages, rationing, or worse! Imagine the civil unrest if that were to occur!

Nearly 90% of American farms are still owned by families. If they couldn't get -- or couldn't afford -- to buy fuel for farm tractors and combines, food production would be devastated in a single season. Farm machinery tills the soil, plants the seeds, fertilizes the plants, and harvests the product. Machinery produces hay and feeds livestock. As the prices of these commodities rise, or their availability is curtailed, the price of food is directly affected. It's possible that we could see for even the 'availability' of food to be affected.

It seems unimaginable that we could ever see a famine in North America. But people need to know that the potential is there if energy costs skyrocket or there are shortages. Americans have no idea how dependent they are on cheap food prices and the cheap, abundant energy that makes that food supply available!

Some of the startling food price increases on a year-over-year basis include, fresh and dry vegetables up 56.1%, fresh fruits and melons up 28.8%, eggs for fresh use up 33.6%, pork up 19.1%, beef and veal up 10.7% and dairy products up 9.7%. On October 30th, 2009, NIA predicted that inflation would appear next in food and agriculture, but we never anticipated that it would spiral so far out of control this quickly...

Will the VAT Lady Sing?

President Obama's press secretary considers the idea that the president is considering giving some consideration to the idea of a value added tax to be completely inconsiderable. Another White House flack considers the whole thing beyond consideration, From AP's Charles Babington:

For days, White House spokesmen have said the president has not proposed and is not considering a VAT.

"I think I directly answered this the other day by saying that it wasn't something that the president had under consideration", White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters shortly before Obama spoke with CNBC.

After the interview, White House deputy communications director Jen Psaki said nothing has changed and the White House is "not considering" a VAT.

Now consider this considerably more considerate comment from the President, who told CNBC he considers the VAT a considerable idea:

When asked if he could see a potential VAT in this nation, the president said: "I know that there's been a lot of talk around town lately about the value-added tax. That is something that has worked for some countries. It's something that would be novel for the United States."

"And before, you know, I start saying 'this makes sense or that makes sense,' I want to get a better picture of what our options are," Obama said.

He said his first priority "is to figure out how can we reduce wasteful spending so that, you know, we have a baseline of the core services that we need and the government should provide. And then we decide how do we pay for that."

So which is it?
I would hope 'a better picture' would mean a study or think-tank at least...hell they spend millions to study frogs, why not have it fully researced by the best in economics to do a study of VAT vs. Flat Tax. This would be a MAJOR path and change in America! We can't have a president who is wishey-washey and playing monopoly with our futures!

Better Get Prepared!

You hear that comment more and more these days. When you watch the different guest speakers and even the show hosts themselves tell of different events in the news and actions of the progressives in Washington, they all say, "You need to get prepared, people."

Many might think this means to 'get your Head wrapped around the concept' that things are going to get bad before they get better....
I think that means alot more and they just don't want to say 'get ready for the worst!' When the worst happens, nobody is going to come to your rescue.

We are at peak crisis in America. They say we can go one way or another, back to the Founders or toward Socialism and where the progressives want us to go. Either way, it can't happen fast enough. Before either happens, America as we know it, will be CHANGED. There's just not enough time. If Conservatives were in full control right now, there's still not enough time to make the changes necessary to ward off the damages made to the economy, the weakness in world image, the US Debt. The BIG moves that would need to be made TODAY, not even good conservatives are going to be in any big hurry to do. It will take fortitude and fierce drive to abandon past ways and formulate the shift in downsizing our government. And WE people need to be of the disposition and charactor, that no matter how HARD, we can adjust to the transposition that needs to occur.

We need a big Do-Over. We need a collapse of our own controlled recipe and not the 'other kind'. All government strangleholds need to be lifted. All government programs need to cease. Government payroll needs to be shut off. State governments collect set % taxes and the IRS collects only 10% flat federal tax...period. Military is their only priority. No Social Security, no Welfare, no Medicade/care, no subsidy to any entity, no Unions, no EPA,USDA,FDIC,HHS,etc. All political candidates get equal time and funds, No campaign contributions or pensions...candidates run on their word and actions, and they run for office out of duty and principals, not for the pension or to make a career of it. When they make
huge revisions, they will need to be strong enough to shed the ridicule and whining, because there is sure to be some. We will need to do many HARD things, make the sacrifices needed, and adapt. We are a resilient strong people and as true American patriots, we can make it.

Why should you care if you prepare and what to do first?

When you are properly prepared, you will not be a victim of any Future Event, but easily adjust & survive it. Get Proactive in your own immediate world. When I am asked what to do first to get prepared, I say food and water is priority #1. Sounds simple right? Well, it is right now. Grocery stores still have stocked shelves and the dollar is still stong. Without food and water you die and it won't matter that you still have unpaid bills. Being debt-free is a good goal, but not at the expense of begging your neighbors to feed your children. When you stock up before an event, it is not hoarding, it is just smart. Doing it later will be dangerous. No one will be coming to help you, not fema nor red-cross, not nobody. Invest in food, the best insurance that you could ever need. People send thousands off in an envelopes every month to protect against an event that might never happen, so why not invest in a policy you can bring home and keep in the basement should you need it now or later? Insurance; car/life/health/home, will not be any good and will not matter much if you are dead from starvation.

Scary times are here, so when you hear the media say 'get prepared people', this is what they are really talking about. Do NOT wait. When you are properly prepared, you will not fear, it’s as simple as that!

Obama wants to Nullify a Portion of Article One of the United States Constitution

President Obama made yet another power grab in a largely overlooked statement issued by the White House Friday. He is attempting to nullify a portion of Article One of the United States Constitution.

Following unsuccessful attempts by the Clinton Administration in the 1990’s, Obama threw his support behind ‘statehood representation’ in Congress for the District of Columbia. (might just be the deal with Bill doing Obama's bitchslapping anti-tea party speech)

The problem is the Constitutional spells out that the District of Columbia (or the seat of the national government) is to be carved out as a place for government without official representation in congress. Article One of the United States Constitution provides for a federal district, distinct from the states, to serve as the permanent national capital. It was never intended to be given ‘statehood’ status nor recognized as such.

District of Columbia voters historically vote about 85-to-90% Democratic thus such action would give Democrats a lock on two new Senate seats and one radical House member.

Earlier attempts by liberal Democrats to nullify the Constitution were beaten back by members of Congress and legal scholars.

Conservative Republicans in the 1990’s suggested the land now known as the District of Columbia be ceded back to the State of Maryland and thus residents would have full voting rights. Democrats balked at this common sense solution because they knew it would not add to their votes in the Senate and House. They NEED those extra seats. Seats they shouldn't have in the first place. The original 100 square mile territory designated for the national capital was acquired from both Maryland and Virginia. Voters within the territory could vote within the respective previous states divided by the Potomac River.

Sadly, like so much else radical leftist do, the only consideration is political power. This President’s brazen attempt to discard the Constitution in other areas (such as government owned banks and auto companies) and the totally fraudulent Obama Care legislation is bad enough.

I don't know about you, but this attempt to provide ‘statehood’ to the District of Columbia through legislation is pure politics and radical. Speaker Pelosi will get the bill when Congress reconvenes and the pressure will be on by the left wing media and White House to get it done. If they get it done, it's just a matter of time before they tweek and add a few other changes to the Constitution.

By the way; A gangster government is one that rules it's constituents without representing their constituents. 65-70% of polled Americans, didn't want the passage of healthcare reform in it's current form.

President Obama Ordered Social Security Not To Talk

During a Congressional hearing, Social Security Commissioner Michael Astrue said he is not allowed to talk about Social Security solvency issues, as per “explicit instructions from the President.” All questions about solvency are supposed to go to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.

To put things in perspective, 3 percetange points of payroll tax is equal to about 20% of the current tax. So eliminating the deficit shown above would require a 20% higher payroll tax on the working population.

Mr. Astrue was asked by Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) and at least one other member of the committee about solvency. Astrue repeatedly answered that he was under instructions from the President not to discuss the Social Security solvency issue. He wasn’t even allowed to offer his opinion.

Have you ever heard this phrase: Speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil? That’s what the Obama Administration is hoping the rest of us will do.

The political debate about the "new'' Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty between the United States and Russia have come words I haven't heard since the 1980s: "appease," "capitulation,'' "weakness," "squander," "naïve."

President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev meet in Prague, but the nuclear standoff between Washington and the Kremlin, once celebrated as the MAD Doctrine (mutual assured destruction) of joint suicide, lives on. We still maintain missiles meant for them, they have missiles meant for us, only difference is they want to lessen the numbers.

Unnoticed by most people, 450 Minuteman III missiles are humming away in their silos, ready to receive their last-minute pre-programmed target coordinates and the launch order. At sea, black-hulled submarines are outfitted with 288 missiles carrying more than 1,000 nuclear warheads. And stored in hardened shelters in the United States are 550 thermonuclear bombs designed to be carried on B-52 bombers.

It used to be the United States could hold at bay its primary enemy, the Soviet Union, with a robust arsenal of nuclear weapons. Conventional military forces -- planes, tanks, infantry -- were a lower budget priority. Since the early 1990s, though, conventional forces have been much more in demand, from Iraq,Afghanistan to Haiti and the Korean peninsula.

In this un-Cold War-like world, Defense Secretary Robert Gates (who watched over Minuteman missiles himself in the 1960s as a young Air Force lieutenant) said last week, the new START treaty "strengthens nuclear stability'' by reducing arsenals on both sides and by providing "effective verification.'' A smaller U.S. nuclear force will easily be able to hold potential enemies at threat and "reassure more than two dozen allies and partners who rely on our nuclear umbrella for their security,'' he told reporters at the White House.
Stability? Less is More? Ask Poland how that looks to them right now.

But "the biggest problem of all" with the treaty is that it's a product of President Obama's fixation with "devaluing nuclear weapons" and ridding the world of them. Obama, is "condemning the nation to unilateral disarmament." Our Nation, that is. And could a President with this attitude be trusted to "carry the football" and give the codes, if and when needed? I don't think it fits his idealogy. He's working on the slow plan of the demise of the USA, but given the chance, a quick distruction works too.

The US and Russia can make as many deals as they want...they are not the only players in the game. It's like two old boys who have been going to the gun range with the same old guns for years. They bring two boxes of ammo each, shoot the same targets and they know what the other guy is capable of, so they decide to only bring 1 box to the range from now on. Then comes more players (China,Iran,N Korea)and they have new guns, different targets and are very unpredictable with unknown capability. Shouldn't the old boys gear up for all the new targets and start bringing two boxes, maybe more, so they can remain top shooters even with the old equipment? Better yet, upgrade? If 'uncertainty and distrust' of the new players is the factor and you can't stop them, why would you lessen and weaken your resources?

Today marked the anniversary of the coming of age of the Tea Party movement – a movement which has quickly established itself as America's last line of defense against those who would try to redefine what it means to be American. On April 15, 2009, a collection of American patriots marched in the massive Tax Day Tea Party, pledging to fight to take our country back.

One year later, we have fought, we have educated, and we have won our voice, but there is much to be done. Progressivism, while weakened, marches on, spilling enough red ink to turn all of America red. Our Peter Pan complex of a President, still in pursuit of the socialist Neverland his cronies dream of, seems determined to follow the second star to the Left, and straight on til morning. He is prepared to do so in the teeth of the American people, and we must stop him at the ballot box, seeing as he lacks a sufficient sense of decency to stop himself.

This means that now, more than ever, we need your support – not just at protests, rallies and other events (though these are essential), but at the electoral level. The political class in Washington is praying with everything they’ve got that we will “go Perot” and fizzle out like a prairie fire. The only thing that can stop them from getting their wish is for Tea Party-backed candidates to get elected, and effect the change we all want so badly to see.

And make no mistake, we face the opportunity for monumental change: perhaps for the first time in history, we will have the chance to overturn a major piece of social legislation, and show Washington that we have no need of its extreme spending. God Bless the Tea Party Patriots and all of you who support them! – we know that the Tea Party movement is too important, too transformational, and too revolutionary to fail.

Poland is not a “team player” in the New World Order

Poland’s Leaders Move to Weaken Currency and have been dragging feet in adopting the euro and joining the European Union, Then Die in Plane Crash

There’s no telling if the two events are connected, but their timing is mighty interesting.

The Polish government and the National Bank of Poland, in a “rare moment of unity,” agree to weaken Poland’s currency, the zloty, in an act that would benefit Poland’s exporters at the expense of Poland’s trading partners—that is, the European Union, among others. Then, the next day, Poland’s president and the president of its national bank die in a plane crash.

From the Wall Street Journal in an item dated April 9, 2010:

In one of those rare moments of unity, the National Bank of Poland and the Polish government agreed on the need to weaken the Polish zloty, which over recent weeks has rebounded close to its pre-crisis strength. The currency’s strength is now seen a possible threat to economic recovery. After several verbal interventions over the past few days, the central bank intervened with real money Friday, for the first time in more than a decade.

The bank followed through on its Thursday warnings that it is “technologically and psychologically” prepared to enter the currency market to prevent “excessive strengthening of the zloty.” Government officials also said earlier this week that the “strong zloty” is damaging growth and, after Friday’s intervention, said they fully back the central bank’s move.

In moving to weaken the zloty, Poland’s leadership was placing the interests of the people of Poland ahead of the interests of the European collective known as the European Union.

Then, the next day, the president of Poland dies in a plane crash along with numerous other top leaders, including the president of the National Bank. The crash wiped out almost half of Poland's leadership.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria have been killed after their plane crashed on approach to Smolensk airport in western Russia.
The Army chief of staff, Gen. Franciszek Gagor, National Bank President Slawomir Skrzypek and Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Kremer were on the passenger list.

Poland has been dragging its feet in adopting the euro and joining the European Union, having pushed back its target date for doing so until 2015. Here in the U.S., we might say that Poland is not a “team player.” In the New World Order, bad things tend to happen to leaders who aren’t team players.

Mandatory Succession: Tossing failed states out of the Union

We don't need no stinking civil war, no treason trials or impeachment hearings to stop the progressive wave. Elections are not enough or soon enough. It may be high time to think the ‘unthinkable’ – that of downsizing our country into a more conservative, efficient, and Constitutionally-based nation of decent, hardworking, and patriotic Americans. There...I said it!

With only the approval of thirty-eight states – we can amend the Constitution of the United States. What this means is that we can toss out those states that are bankrupt – morally and financially – and save our “One Nation under God” by divesting ourselves of, say, California, New York, Oregon, Illinois, Wisconsin, and just about any other state that is broke and whose progressive slant is destroying our nation. And let's not forget: the District of Colombia. We can call for immediate elections with 60 day campaigns, meanwhile letting the States govern themselves under peaceful martial law of sorts, until a new constitutional Judicial, Legislative and Executive branches of These United States as opposed to singularly known as The United States, is seated.

Think of it folks. Do we really need California to pull our nation down? Is not tossing out Washington, D.C. a much more effective way of getting rid of all politicians en masse? Wouldn’t you just love to slice off the Progressive treehugging left coast and the blue-blooded North East? To stop this, the progressives would need to muster thirteen states to come to their rescue and I bet that they cannot come up with more than six or seven – tops. We the People can finally take our rightful – and responsible – place in the books of American history. We would be laying down the law that it is NOT alright to put your State in fiscal jeapardy by imposing radical progressive junk laws and taxes, then expect the rest of the responsible States to come to the rescue. No State is too BIG to fail either.

The most important part of this is that it is completely Constitutional unlike Obama buying General Motors on our credit or ramming nationalized healthcare down our throats. If we can add states, we can certainly remove them through a simple addendum to our Constitution. Who could stop us? Nancy Pelosi? Her state would be the first one tossed into the shitter. President Obama? Before his teleprompter queued the next sequence, he would be the sitting president of the progressive junkyard, trying his damndest to tax the few supporters he had left. His world would quickly die under social justice, endorsing abortions and social medicine, and allowing Islamic terrorists to run free.

Our nation “Of the people, by the people, and for the people” refounded upon “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” would become the beacon of Freedom as the rest of the worlds leaders will realize that we have finally decided to do something about our future. The Gulf and the Rockies (and Alaska) certainly have enough natural resources to fuel our growth. We would disband the EPA, the IRS, HHS, Dept of worthless Homeland Security, the FDA and our ties to the UN and most foreign treaties ...just to name a few. Every industry will set their own guidelines and mandates to be approved before Congress. Unions will be abolished. Banks will be localized. We would fully back our US Militaries home and abroad to step up our security. The Federal Reserve would be history.

We can finally possess a nation where all citizens are free to work, succeed and prosper, have a right to defend their families and properties, and no longer need to pay personal income taxes. If this leaner, meaner (to terrorists) nation sounds a bit familiar, it is because this is precisely the country that existed before progressives screwed the pooch. Wouldn’t it be nice to give them what they have coming to them?

The 100 year Flood in New England(Worst Flooding in 200 Yrs), with displacement of people and the destruction of infrastructure,homes and businesses is as unexpected devastating as Katrina, but where's FEMA??

And where's the LameStream Media with all the unfair retoric on the blindeye the President is giving this? He overflew the disaster area (one of the main charges about what Bush did during the Katrina disaster) and what is his Fema administrator doing? Basking in the sunny glow of Orlando, Florida. So where is the uproar from the left?

More attention and compassion has been shown foreigners in Haiti...please, these are middleclass Americans! Where's the rallying cry to send donations? Do only the minorities in the slums and prior flood-riddled locations like New Orleans get our full attention? Just like the floods in Iowa, where the people and farmers had the gumption to adjust and make the best of a bad situation, does NOT mean they should not get our full humanitarian effort. A 'peoples' ecomomic status should not dictate the resources of our government to step in and give aide. Do ONLY the helpless,weak and poor have the 'back' of our government or is the government suppose to be 'blind' and fair when it comes to it's citizens? Hope and Change, but only for a certain 'class'?

Get used to this folks – this is that fundamental change that Obama kept promising. We see more and more examples of taking from the Haves to give to the Havenots and this is just a blatent in your face showing of the balance not being dealt and the kinds of disasters and dispair that will be ignored by not just the left press, but by the President himself. The worst part is that even though this country was warned, people thought it was just fear mongering. Get yourself prepared people, no matter where you live. If any devastation or big event happens to you and yours, you cannot count on anyone to come to your aide. We now know the blindeye will not be watching or caring.

The Hidden Untapped Source of Revenue in ObamaCare

Right off the bat this week, the news on healthcare reform is that, the major corporations are discovering they will be losing stunning amounts to taxes as a result of Obamacare.

Caterpillar, the first to speak out before the vote, reported it will take a one-time write-down of $100 million in order to account for the elimination of a federal tax refund it has been receiving for providing drug benefits to its retired employees.

In the following days, AT&T, Verizon, 3M, Deer & Co., and AK Steel Holdings announced they would take similar write downs. AT&T's new tax bill will come to over $1 billion. The news is a body blow to major companies hoping to recover profitability and add jobs.

If all this sounds familiar, it should. It is exactly what Republicans predicted would happen if Obamacare became law. If existing employee benefits were taxed or made more expensive, the GOP argued, employers would either have to absorb the loss or start pushing their employees into whatever "government option" became available.

When the Bush Administration adopted Medicare Part D in 2003, companies threatened to do just that, dropping their coverage and letting retirees buy into the federal program. The government offered a tax refund of about $650 per retiree in order to keep Part D costs down. Now the Obama Administration has decided to eliminate the tax refund in order to pay for the larger entitlements in the new bill.

The complaints were too much for Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He demanded that CEOs from the major companies appear before him on April 21 to explain just what's going on. "These assertions appear to conflict with independent analyses," said the chairman, "which show that the new law will expand coverage and bring down costs."
"When I use a word, it means exactly what I want it to mean, no more, no less," says Humpty-Dumpty in Alice and Wonderland. "When we pass a law, it will do exactly what we want it to do," say the Democrats in Congress. Never mind economics, never mind common sense. "Our analysis said premiums should go down, not up!" That will bring a call for federal price controls. This melodrama is already being played out in Massachusetts, where an identical reform has produced the highest insurance rates in the country. At some point here, the voice of Rep. Dennis Kucinich will begin to echo through the land: "Why not just turn the whole thing over to the federal government?"

This is typical of Washington -- too many lawyers, too few people who understand business or energy or insurance or medicine or whatever the government has decided to regulate.

But I would add one caveat to all this. Take another look at those Caterpillar/AT&T/3M numbers. Caterpillar's $100 million represents only one small portion of the health benefits the company is now conveying to its retired employees. Imagine the value of all the health benefits passing to all its employees, working and retired. It obviously exceeds $1 billion. And that's just one company.

What the Caterpillar/AT&T/3M numbers reveal is that employee healthcare benefits have become a huge 'underground economy' operating outside the conventional system. Remember, all these benefits are tax-free. Because the government doesn't take a share, both employers and employees have come to prefer expanded health and retirement benefits to ordinary compensation. (How many people are holding jobs "just for the benefits"?) This distortion is what is ailing the healthcare economy and the reason it has not been policed by the people. It is also an untapped source of revenue for the government (much like the 'death tax') and they are going after it!

Everyone has a story of how government has affected them, good or bad. Everyone can get involved in conversations at the watercooler or in the coffee shop, but do you stop at some point because you lack rebutal or fall short of details of the day? In that case, it's still your duty to stir yourself to action. You must take the timeout of whatever is going on in your busy lives to get yourselves 'up to speed' on what is going on.

If you have conservative beliefs and enjoy life without big brother telling you what your next move is, then listen or tivo Fox. They are the only network to give FAIR and unbiased news. If you hug trees, think your Unions are looking out for you, believe in letting schools raise your children, love limited healthcare and think it is OK for the IRS to fine or jail you, then continue to listen to the liberals on CNN,NBC,MSNBC,CBS and the like. Old Times, Herold and Gazette newspapers are just as bad. Get online and seek current events and you will get Both sides of any story. Get registered to vote, get educated on the candidates and become an active participant in whatever direction the future may bring to us all as Americans. We as a free people are at the crossroads or tipping point of what this country will become and what the days ahead will be for us now, our children and future generations. Personally, I am sick of being told I should feel guilty for making a good (not wealthy by any means)living and that because I work hard to succeed, I should feel obligated to share with those who don't...sorry, that's just unAmerican.

Get active, educated and be the leader of the herd or forever be herded. It's not too late. Today is your chance to decide. The 'Change' we all hoped for to come out of Washington, was less corruption, less spending and a smarter better secure country. Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America's future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America's resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That's why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they've gotten off the fence. They've woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.

Think of the crap we've slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and “disabilities.” Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts. (Enviro Libs took treehugging to a whole new level by choosing unedible fish over people, food and farmers, while Global Warming was found out as the science fraud that it is, sorry,editorial liberty).

We slowly learned to tolerate these outrages, shaking our heads in disbelief, and we went on with our lives.

But Barack Obama has ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction and unrest.

In the time of Barack Obama, Black Panther members stand outside polling places in black commando uniforms, slapping truncheons into their palms. ACORN — a taxpayer-supported organization — is given a role in taking the census, even after its members were caught on tape offering advice to set up child prostitution rings. A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers' union — whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense — is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.

I don't know about you, but the other day I was at the courthouse doing some business, and I stepped into the court clerk's office and changed my voter affiliation from “Independent” to “Republican.” I am under no illusion that the Republican party is perfect, but at least they're starting to awaken to the fact that we cannot sustain massive levels of debt; we cannot afford to hand out billions of dollars in corporate subsidies; we have to somehow trim our massive entitlement programs; we can no longer be the world's policeman and dole out billions in aid to countries whose citizens seek to harm us.

Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They're organizing, they're studying the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, they're reading history and case law, they're showing up at rallies and meetings, and a slew of conservative candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Is there a revolution brewing? Yes, in the sense that there is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically re-structured. Will it be a violent revolution? No. It will be done through the interpretation of the original document that has guided us for 220 years — the Constitution. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace political correctness and liberalism, there will be a backlash, a complete repudiation of a hundred years of nonsense. A hundred years from now, history will perceive the year 2010 as the time when America got back on the right track. And for that, we can thank Barack Hussein Obama.

A real or perceived (staged) national emergency to justify an imposition of Martial law , would change the ball game indefinitely. If imposed by any justification before November 2010 an Executive Order by America's 'Commander in Chief' would change the rules of the game for all Americans and halt November elections leaving current runaway government agendas unstoppable.

Given the patterns and practices by Democrats over many months to gain a victory for 'Health Care Reform' ...anything is possible.

TAXES, More Taxes and Trickle up Poverty

...the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy, and the middle income class is left behind. Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America.

But don't you dare call it socialism!

President Obama campaigned on the promise that any tax increases proposed by his Administration would be imposed only on the highest five percent of the population and that taxes for the rest of the people would not go up by a dime. His cutoff point is often said to be $250,000 per annum....later changed to $200,000.

Our annual deficit, now running close to $2 trillion, it's obvious that annual income tax collections are not sufficient to support the level of government we have, nor the debt service on the accumulated debt, which we have already incurred.

So what can we do? Here's the Obama solution. We can service our debt and provide government services either by rolling over and expanding the nation’s debt, print new money, thereby cheapening our currency and risking massive inflation, and find more and more sources to tax, thereby taking more money from the private sector. Sadly, cutting spending is not part of the solution. Congress recently passed a program into law, which requires that each new expenditure be accompanied by a corresponding expenditure cut or a new source of revenue. A step in the right direction, you might think. Not more than three weeks later, however, they passed an $80 billion spending bill and waived the pay-as-you-go requirement.

We all know, tax increases reduce incentives, drive business to cut costs or move outside the United States and reduce research and development expenses and innovative risk taking.
This country evolved from a standing start in the 18th century with a puny population, to an international economic engine, which lifted millions of people worldwide out of poverty as a result of private effort, private capital and private risk taking. We created industry after industry and millions of jobs, yet the 'left' focuses on the successes of the few and those they employ. They get targeted to share their wealth with everyone. Where's the Incentive?
Risk + Success = Tax More.

Then there's the estate tax (or as conservatives call it “the death tax”). Prior to the Bush tax cuts the government taxed (confiscated some might say) 55 percent of a decedent’s taxable estate over $1 million. Under the Bush program the estate tax was to be phased out until there was no such tax in 2010 … only to spring back to life, just like the Bush income tax cuts, in 2011 at the 2001 rate. Everyone believed a compromise would be reached by Congress, not only to prevent the expiration of the tax in 2010, but also to have a lower rate and a higher exemption amount thereafter. Since Congress rarely misses an opportunity to be irresponsible, that hasn’t happened. This clumsy handling of tax policy regarding residual wealth, the net of all taxes paid during someone’s working life, has cost the public billions of dollars in legal fees trying to adjust wills, trusts and marital deductions to this unresolved matter.

Summary: After having one’s income taxed at rates up to 39.6 percent, paying Social Security tax of 6.2% if you are an employee (or 12.4% if you are self employed) on the first $106,800 of earnings, state income taxes of up to 12 percent in some states, Medicare tax of 1.45 percent on total taxable income (2.9% if you are self employed going up to 3.8% on ALL income, including interest, dividends and capital gains, which the left refers to as “unearned income,” under Obamacare), sales taxes up to ten percent in some cities and states, the government under this most hideous of taxes would take 55% of anything you might have left over, from the children or grandchildren.

Like the Picture so far?

Essentially the United States is heading toward what might be called a tipping point. The more we have a society where substantial numbers of people pay no taxes (now close to 40%), the more we create a voting bloc of citizens who will inevitably support new programs for which they don’t have to pay. Business people have a term for this. It is called having “skin in the game” another way of saying that we all need to give up something of value. Are you a morally bad person if you do not want to shoulder an ever-increasing government appetite to provide more and more benefits to a segment of the population who view these benefits as if they are birthrights?

Should we be a nation that looks to government to provide more and more of what people need or desire OR are we Americans that depend on our personal efforts and family support systems and our own labor and intelligence. THAT is the question. What the current adninistration is hellbent on doing is growing the government to the point that we will not recognize our country that immigrants once declared, that in America your work is your reward and you have the freedom to be anything you want to be.
Instead, Obamanomics = Trickle up poverty.

Revenge? Think again.

Why? Word is that Immigration "Reform" is the Obama Administration's next goal, and that they intend on granting Amnesty to the illegals living here now. Estimates put that number at about 15-30 million people. It's easy to assume that 90% of them would instantly become life-long loyal Democrat voters...and why wouldn't they?

I said this back last year after Nancy met with all the illegals and trashed the US laws being enforced. Remember? (http://deeprootsintoughtimes.blogspot.com/2009/03/nancy-pelosi-scares-hell-out-of-me.html)3/09 - Ratcheting up her 'open borders' rhetoric a notch, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told an Illegals rally in San Francisco that enforcement of immigration laws was "un-American." She also referred to illegal aliens as "very, very patriotic." (She should have been brought up on treason back then.)

Once they've been given US citizenship and US Health Care by a Democrat, any massive "backlash" against the Democrats that appears to be developing right now, will really only end up being countered by the massive increase in the total number of loyal Democrat voters that Amnesty will provide.

I hope I'm wrong. If Amnesty would mean they could instantly register to vote for the November 2010 elections, (2012 almost certainly/post Census), we will see our America handed to Progressives on a platter.

To me, it looks like this is the reason that the Democrats feel absolutely 'no need' to listen to the wishes of the majority of the electorate right now.
Simply put; they are not legislating for this current electorate. They are legislating for the electorate-to-come, the one that will exist after Amnesty is granted to 15-30 million new Democrat voters. It's why Nancy and BO aren't worried.

Keep in mind that Obama's victory over McCain was a clear and decisive one. He won 52% to 46%. But the margin was still less than 10 million total votes (69.5 to 59.9 million). With 15-30 million new loyal Democrat voters, it's quite possible that we won't see a GOP majority or conservative President for a very long time, despite the current, wide-spread, and growing surge/anger against the Democrats.

This is very deliberate. And the sequence of Obama's major Agenda items was designed to bring this mega-majority about.

* The Stimulus bill had to be first, because it feathers the financial bed for Democrats' re-election campaigns.
* Then Health Care had to be next, because if they granted Amnesty first, then the Health Care proposal would appear much more expensive than the numbers from the CBO. It would be great if someone had CBO do the numbers with the 15-30 million new citizens (bet it wouldn't have passed).
* And, (Union) Card-Check, and Cap and Trade are the other 2 pillars of their plan for cementing lasting Democrat Party majorities and dominance.

Progressives will Win and the only way to get them out will be Recall or Impeachment and ONLY IF after Nov. 2010, should we hold off any form of Amnesty until then.

We have state governments for a reason. Regardless of what today’s media would have you believe, state representatives are not elected state paper-shufflers or federal mandates. State governments share power with the federal government as equal partners in a system designed to decentralize power and protect “we the people” from foreign and domestic threats.

Ignoring D.C. actually means that we must use state governments to defy unconstitutional federal laws, starting with the health care bill today. The federal government itself must be identified as the threat and we must use the legal power of our state governments under the 10th amendment to eliminate the threat, and formally ignore unconstitutional mandates.

Ghandi had it nailed:

“First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win.“

For the most part, the federal government has ignored any resistance to the health care bill. Tea Parties have been ridiculed as radicals of all varieties such as “tea baggers”, “astroturf”, “racists”, and “domestic terrorists”. But, they have never formally acknowledged the existence of this movement. Once we begin to focus our attention on the state governments, everything changes. The media will be unable to ignore a block of defiant states. Personally, you will be ridiculed as a “tenther” (I think this is pretty cool) but once states exhibit defiance it will not be long before the federal government shifts it’s focus to the states not the individuals. That’s when you will know that you are not being ignored anymore.

At a minimum, your state will be ridiculed as out of touch with reality, as constitutional rogues, racists, and more. The governor of your state and your state representatives will be positioned as little more than common rabble rousers and will be the target of incredible pressure to compromise. But this must be overcome before we can win and we must solidly stand with state representatives. Federal funds will be used to coerce states to comply as has been common practice for some time. This will be specifically painful with health care because defiant state’s federal funds will be used to finance compliant state’s health care. However, this cannot be allowed to stand for any significant amount of time so states must be influenced to pass state legislation that denies the federal government what they covet most, tax revenue.

From here on, resolve will be the key. Not just your resolve, but the resolve of the rest of the citizens in your state. So it’s our responsibility to educate neighbors and make sure the right state representatives are in place.

In order for us to 'reset' this country and return to spending time with our businesses, families and hobbies; we must again in no uncertain terms confirm the revolutionary message that the people are the source of power. The federal government must fear the people, and the state governments are the legal method in which to achieve this goal. Jefferson clarified the goal:

States' Rights Movement - STAND UP AMERICA!

The battle over when states rights trump federal government edicts is as old as the constitution. But recently, an increasing number of states are standing up to the federal government and asserting their independence through legislation, resolutions or rhetoric.
It’s widespread. We’re seeing states all across the republic with different resolutions or legislation. Some deal with health care, some firearms.

States are declaring their independence differently. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 23 states have followed Montana and introduced legislation saying if a gun is manufactured in that state and stays in that state, then federal regulation, such as registration, doesn’t apply. On March 12, Gov. Mike Rounds of South Dakota, a Republican, signed such a bill into law. Wyoming’s governor signed a similar bill the day before.

Idaho’s Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter signed a law March 17 ordering the state attorney general to sue if Congress approves health care legislation. Similar bills are pending in 37 other states. Another Arizona lawmaker has introduced a firearms measure similar to the one signed by Rounds of South Dakota. Starting with Maine in 2007, 25 states have passed resolutions or legislation denouncing or refusing to implement the federal REAL ID which imposes strict – and costly – security and authentication standards for issuing drivers licenses.

While some say the push for states rights is largely a Republican, red state, Tea Party phenomenon, not so. Oregon, Wisconsin, Maryland and New Hampshire – all states won by President Obama in 2008 – where resolutions were introduced last year aimed at bringing members of the National Guard home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The message is clear: Don’t Tread on Me!

At the center of the arguments made by states' rights advocates is the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

That amendment is a weaker version of a similar sentence in the earlier Articles of Confederation:

"Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled."

By the will of the States, our nation “Of the people, by the people, and for the people” refounded upon “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” would again become the beacon of the world as the rest of the planet realizes that we have finally decided to do something about our future! If the States don't become UNITED now, the wild Progressive coup in Washington under the direction of the Obama administration, will succeed in "fundamentally transforming" our country.

GIBBS: Again, this is -- I think we’ve discussed on a number of occasions, certainly the last time we met inside, that this was -- this is the type of thing that -- the type of rule that you’ve seen pass on any number of instances. So I understand that there are those that want to discuss this as being a unique thing. It is not. I stated earlier that when this bill passes the House the President will be happy to sign it.

CNS News: Well, is that still a constitutional argument in favor of it, that it’s been done before?

GIBBS: I’m unaware -- again, I didn’t go to law school -- I’m unaware that -- I’m unaware of legal suits filed by a similar organization when the Republicans did similar things on legislation.

CNS News: So the President wouldn’t rule out signing future bills that didn’t pass both houses by a yea or nay vote?

GIBBS: I’m not going to get into a series of legal hypotheticals that both of us seem unprepared to discuss.

I Will Not Comply

RALEIGH – I’ve been arguing the case against ObamaCare for more than a year. I’ve argued that it will raise costs, reduce freedom, and federalize the funding and regulation of a sixth of the nation’s economy. I’ve also pointed out that it is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of why medical costs are rising, and would destroy the only trend working against health care inflation – the rise of consumer-driven health care.

But now, I’ve lost my passion for continuing the debate. I’ve lost my motivation to identify the bill’s flaws and failures. I’ve even lost my anger at the arrogance of Washington politicians who think they know best how to manage my medical care and rearrange my personal finances.

Why? Because it’s becoming clear to me that I and other critics of ObamaCare have already won the intellectual battle. We’ve already succeeded in informing the public about the particulars of the bill, and the public now strongly opposes ObamaCare. The more President Obama shouts into his microphone, the more the public comes to oppose his plan. There is no conceivable way that the president or the leaders of Congress can legally enact their legislative monstrosity.

Instead, they are going to cheat.

They are going to employ some kind of legislative trickery to pretend to pass a bill that, they now realize, will never become law through constitutional means. They may use the now-infamous Slaughter Rule, which would allow House members to claim to have voted to amend the objectionable Senate bill without actually having passed it through the House. Or they’ll come up with an even-zanier scheme, including a subsequent reconciliation process in the Senate designed to overcome the very filibuster they’ve used to block conservative bills and nominees in the past.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m not planning to recognize such a result as legally binding. I’m not going to pretend to obey any dictates from federal health-care bureaucrats that have never been authorized by a constitutional vote of both houses of Congress. I will not submit to any extra-constitutional order to dismantle the consumer-driven health plan I have set up for my employees.

I will not comply. If the government tries to make me comply, I’ll sue. And I’ll win.

This is not (yet) a banana republic where constitutions are seen as inconvenient impediments to the rule of the despot. This is not (yet) a European-style welfare state where some powerful parliament can exercise legislative, executive, and judicial power all in one stroke. This is a constitutional republic in which government power is divided, its exercise is strictly limited, and our rights are not some generous gift of those in power, to be withdrawn at their whim, but are instead a permanent check on their power.

If the House fails to hold a straightforward vote on the Senate bill that was passed a couple of months ago, that bill can neither become law nor be amended by future congressional action. It will have died. There will be no ObamaCare bill, no new taxes or regulations, and no unconstitutional mandate that Americans buy health plans approved by politicians.

The president and his allies may claim otherwise, but that won’t change the reality of the situation. If they command the rest of us to pretend they have passed the bill, I will not comply.

You shouldn’t, either.

We are nearing the final countdown to the
House taking action on ObamaCare. The 72-hour countdown
clock will start as soon as the CBO estimates are released
and the bill is posted.

The next 24-48 hours are crucial as final
decisions will be made on what tactics will
be used -- including the "Slaughter Solution."

Things have gotten so bad on Capitol Hill that Nancy Pelosi
is now brazenly supporting using the "Slaughter Solution"
that will allow Democrats in the House to pass ObamaCare
WITHOUT EVEN CASTING A VOTE on the Senate bill.

Here's what Pelosi told a group of liberal bloggers: "I
like [the Slaughter rule]... because people don't have to
vote on the Senate bill."

Let's be clear -- this is blatantly unconstitutional, and
it is the latest in a long line of deceptive, manipulative
and corrupt means being used to force passage of ObamaCare.

What Pelosi is threatening has never been done before -- not
with any major piece of legislation and certainly not with
one that will control one-sixth of the economy.

The DEMOCrats have shut out ALL Republicans throughout the whole process.
The President does not return their calls.
They OWN this piece of corrupt progressive crap they call a Healthcare Bill. They want to
add and corrupt your childs access to college by tacking it to this piece of legistration. Why?

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said on Sunday that relations with the United States had been "seriously disrupted," after a rise in friction between the two big powers.

Beijing and Washington have recently gone through a rough patch, with quarrels in January and February over Chinese Internet censorship, trade disputes, U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, and President Barack Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan leader.

Beijing has not yet acted on its threat to sanction U.S. companies involved in the arms sales to Taiwan, the self-ruled island that Beijing claims as part of its territory.

So then Bush must have been doing something right?? Bush, who was despised by all the commies, including China, Russia, Chavez, Castro, Obama, and Democrats. God Bless George W. and the job of VP pick Dick Cheney. China and Russia not only hated Bush, they respected his dedication to America and they knew he’d protect it.

Sen. Jim Bunning is taking a beating today.

He is being lambasted, mocked and ridiculed as a crazy old man
who has lost his bearings.

Why? Because Bunning is insisting that Congress pay for its
lastest spending spree -- $10 billion in an emergency
Transportation and unemployment funding measure that
Congress has not funded.

Bunning doesn't oppose the bill -- just the fact that Congress
once again is spending money without funding the spending.
They are just adding another $10 billion to the deficit!

Plus, as Bunning points out, just a few weeks ago Congress
passed the "PayGo" law that requires Congress to fully
fund any new discretionary spending! Bunning is simply
holding their feet to the fire.
And for this, Bunning is the bad guy! He's being blamed
for causing 2,000 Transportation workers to be furloughed...
for the suffering of thousands of unemployed who will miss
their unemployment checks...

CNN went so far as to put on its broadcast, "Thousands hurt
by one Senator." Even G.O.P. strategists are worried that
Bunning's stand will give the Democrats the advantage.

I say, hogwash! It seems Bunning may be the last man standing
in the Senate.
Someone... somewhere... must draw a line and say NO to
the endless spending spree that is pushing our nation
to the brink of bankruptcy!

The Progressive Movement goes against everything America stands for: it created progressive income tax, prohibition, the Federal Reserve, the U.N., every single government agency – from the Department of the Interior to the FDA – these were all progressive ideas. Progressives believe in the philosophy that life is just too complex for the common people to understand or deal with so they should back off and let the government solve the problems. Kind of reminds you of the town hall meetings on Healthcare Reform, doesn’t it!
And another thing to think about...just how could they stand there and lie when they took their oath of office to uphold the Constitution?

Here is the real problem – the more power and control the government gets, the more power and control it wants. The founding fathers recognized this, which is why there is a separation of powers built into our Constitution. It was intentionally designed this way to provide checks and balances to control the speed of change.

Progressives believe in social re-engineering. They believe that they can improve the world by changing the structure of society and the roles of the people in it. Window of Transparency Summit

The point of todays Healthcare summit was to alter the political opinion and discourse the people have for the way that Obama bullshitted about transparency (hence c-span) and for letting Dems steamrole the whole process without any input from Republicans (hence his invite of bipartisanship). On his walk across the street to the meeting, Obama said he was looking forward to 'listening', but that was far from his objective. The invited party was only given 1/3 of the time to make their points.

When the whole day was done, Obama gave us all what was his real goal. In the last 3 minutes, he said that if common ground could not be found in 4-6 weeks, he then would counsel with Democrats to see which route to take to pass comprehensive — not limited and incremental — legislation. He implied use of the reconciliation process.
If a Democrats-only strategy then failed, Obama said, it would be left to voters to make their judgment in November.

Wow...forget what the American citizen wants..right? Anyone can lead a meeting, but that does not mean you have presidential leadership skills. Made clear when he was demissive of John McCain and occasionally combative and squirmish whenever his VP Biden spoke. But at least John McCain had the courage to bring the concerns and disgust of the American people into that meeting so people who are disgusted with Obamna’s lies can have a voice and be heard.

“If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period,” he declared in a speech to the American Medical Association last June. “No one will take it away, no matter what.”

While a number of provisions in the existing House and Senate health care bills would undermine that pledge, the proposal Obama unveiled Monday takes a sledgehammer to it.

The Senate bill has a measure to protect so-called “grandfathered plans,” which would allow policy holders to maintain coverage in plans that may not abide by all of the requirements imposed on new individual plans offered on the government-run exchanges.

But Obama’s new proposal changes all of that. Here’s how the White House explains the new provisions:

The Senate bill includes a “grandfather” policy that allows people who like their current coverage, to keep it. The President’s Proposal adds certain important consumer protections to these “grandfathered” plans. Within months of legislation being enacted, it requires plans to cover adult dependents up to age 26, prohibits rescissions, mandates that plans have a stronger appeals process, and requires State insurance authorities to conduct annual rate review, backed up by the oversight of the HHS Secretary. When the exchanges begin in 2014, the President’s Proposal adds new protections that prohibit all annual and lifetime limits, ban pre-existing condition exclusions, and prohibit discrimination in favor of highly compensated individuals. Beginning in 2018, the President’s Proposal requires “grandfathered” plans to cover proven preventive services with no cost sharing.

YADA, YaDa, yaDAH....

All of the new requirements proposed by Obama would increase premiums, and by definition, alter the composition of those insurance plans. The White House would argue that it is changing the policies for the better.

But the entire point of having “grandfathered plans” was to protect a class of policies from changes imposed by the new legislation. Put another way, the provision to allow people to keep their “grandfathered plans” is rendered meaningless when the federal government is dictating what is in them.

Government - Get out of the Jobs Market

Arianna Huffington: A person I detest almost as much as Nancy Pelosi, wrote this today and I felt It was worth a show here on this blog and worth discussing.

"" A stunning new study found that while the unemployment rate among those making over $150,000 was only 3 percent, the rate for those in the bottom 10 percent of income was a staggering 31 percent. Does anyone believe that we would be facing the same lack of urgency about the jobs crisis in Washington if it were the unemployment rate among the top 10 percent that was 31 percent? If one-third of television news producers, pundits, bankers, and lobbyists were unemployed, would the measures being proposed by the White House and Congress still be as pathetic as the ones we're seeing now? Of course not -- the sense of national emergency would be so great you'd practically be hearing air raid sirens howling. Instead we get baby steps, bipartisanship, and band-aids.

It's unclear. Again and again, the administration has had the opportunity to show that it gets what's happening outside the fully employed sectors of Wall Street and Washington. And again and again, it comes up short.
It's time for something bold. Unfortunately, we've now seen enough of President Obama to know that boldness isn't exactly his forte. Bold rhetoric at times, sure, but not bold action. His natural caution and incremental approach would be well-suited to many times -- but this is not one of them. The jobs crisis is simply too large and the suffering too great. Obama needs to put aside the clichés about changing how Washington works and change the way he works.

The chasm America has fallen into cannot be crossed with bipartisan baby steps. The president needs to grab Congressional Democrats by the hand... and leap. How Obama responds to this crisis will not only define his presidency, but the long-term future of our nation. ""

Here's what I think.... The jest of the article makes sense and I can agree that if the tables were turned, those top 10% would have a louder bark, but seriously, if the top 10% were 31% umemployed we would be in Full Meltdown already. The bottom 10% of income earners pay NO TAXES!!

And notice the group of people she speaks of in her example, "one-third of television news producers, pundits, bankers, and lobbyists". She obviously circulates in a very narrow group of cronies or just lives in a small world and can't come up with a real set of top 10% that are Producers and not a part of the service force. And I hope she is included in the third that becomes unemployed....sooner than later.

But the biggest part of this article that is missed if you aren't really listening is that she speaks of Bipartisanship as if it is a BAD thing... The president needs to grab Congressional Democrats by the hand... and leap. Bypass the system of balanced debate and doing whatever an inexperienced president wants, then demand that all democrats follow lock step. What she is calling for is another MOVE just like the hurry-up stimulus-gotta doit in 24 hours or else. Big steps! She says, "put aside the clichés about changing how Washington works" sounds alot like throwing out the constitution and doing what is essentially treasonous in the name of hurry up and save us!

Scary huh? And this was just a simple article that sounded pretty good and on the right track until you really 'think' and then it just becomes another propaganda type story to cover the progressive agenda of overstepping to get things done one way when the true answer to unemployment and jobgrowth is for government to get out of the way, eliminate all tax burdens, restrictions and mandates that cripple small and large businesses and manufacturers for the risk they are willing to take to provide good paying jobs at whatever price they are willing to pay. You don't need wallstreet to give shares to an employee that helps build a successful business. LESS from government means job rates will come back and so will those companies that moved to foreign countries.

Social Security..Worth Fighting For???

For years, we’ve been hearing that the Social Security Trust Fund would run out of money. The recent economic recession only worsened the outlook for Social Security Insurance.

According to current projections by the trustees responsible for the Social Security Trust Fund, the Social Security program will begin to pay out more benefits than in collects in taxes beginning in the year 2016. And by 2037, the Social Security Trust Fund will be insolvent, and will be unable to pay full benefits to retirees.

( I feel it will happen much sooner than 2016, based on the unemployment levels, just who are they kidding? The biggest issue I have is if they are not going to have funds at any given point and they know it, just how is it not Fraudulent to be mandatory and withheld from every paycheck? Why haven't the young adults who will never see any payout or middleaged adults who have paid in for years, not making this a BIGGER issue than Healthcare. Our current Heathcare is the best in the world, but our Social Security is BROKEN, fix that first! If Congress is hellbent on looking busy before the economy crunches, this would bear better reviews in the press before elections!)

There are no easy solutions to the Social Security Insurance crisis. One thing is clear, however. Each year that goes by without taking action to solve the problem will only make the solution more painful when the time comes.

A bill to move New Mexico's money out of big national banks

and into local banks and credit unions has some serious legs in the state's legislature. The bill passed the New Mexico House of Representatives unanimously on Monday, and it already is scheduled for a hearing on Wednesday in the Senate.

The idea is that more liquidity in local banks translates into more loans to local businesses and a stronger local economy.
They got the idea for the legislation directly from the Move Your Money campaign, which encourages individuals to withdraw their deposits from "Too Big To Fail" banks in favor of local banks.

Imagine that!

I think the bigger message here is that if people at the State level are doing it...why wouldn't YOU???

Now here's a thought....why wouldn't you want to move 95% of your cash to your pocket, then home to a very safe place???
Think for a minute. Cash sitting in the bank drawing zippo for interest, then suddenly there's a run on the bank. Are you going to get there before the doors are closed? Are you going to be able to cash out, so to speak. With cash on hand, you will be able to get to the grocery and load up before the shelves are bare or before the looting and riots begin. Do you see where I am taking this conversation?

This is my warning to you 80% of the people who are not Preppers. Prepare now. The best investment you can make with that money is in food. If you listen to the news and sifer though the bs, do 3rd grade math, you can only come to one conclusion. Things are not going to get easier in life no matter how much you work or how secure you think your job is. Collapse of the Economy, Meltdown, Death of the Dollar, these are just names given of what will happen in society and is out of your control. But your 'family' is your world. When 'GREEN' just isn't funny!

A disturbing Super Bowl commercial...in humor, but sure drives the point of the intentions of the 'Eco-Extremists". This is a window into their perfect world thinking.

My commercial would show the financial rape of the economy these treehugging extremists inflict on People and their wallets.

I would show dust bowl conditions they created in the most fertile productive land in Calif because of a fish. I would show the timber industry cranking out lumber that now costs you triple the sq ft to build a home that also has to be 'green' and because additional housing regulations imposed, keeps you from ever moving out of your old house. I would show how stimulus tax dollars used to build roads with bridges for turtles while existing bridges in the USA crumble. I would show how every infrastructure project takes years to become 'shovel ready' due to impact studies. How 'permits' are the current police that stunt any innovation and creative frugalism. I would show how 'credit bureaus' have become the economy police with more control than your banks. I would show the nutrition police, education police, communication police,and the list goes on.

The green police are not little men with clipboards, ticket pads or handcuffs.....the satire of this commercial is the police are actually all the Regulations and Laws imposed with so-called good intentions that have crippled the American Dream.

Most assume the Green Police are focused on ‘protecting and conserving the Earth’ and are now a 'part of modern life' and I say,
"Real Americans are not pro-dirty water. We don't like pollution. Real conservatives would rather recycle than throw things away needlessly. We love a clean environment, too. But those of us who still value liberty and freedom are wary because radical environmentalists appear to embrace the "green police" concept and are sucking the 'Life' out of those humans that inhabit this earth....they suck the life out of true Americanism.

Just who in Washington is holding back on Economic Recovery?

SPECIAL INTERESTS...and there's a bunch of them!

We have the power to tap vast shale gas reserves that lie under our feet through large swaths of America, but special interest groups aligned with the Democratic Party are trying to frustrate plans to bring this cheap, plentiful, and clean energy to the surface.
We are the Saudi Arabia of shale gas. The potential is enormous. Already, landowners and states have benefited from royalty payments. Hard-hit communities are experiencing an economic revival. Small business, people looking for jobs, community centers, fire departments, and schools have all been beneficiaries.

More importantly, Americans have all benefited from low natural gas prices because of the bonanza of shale gas that has just begun to come our way. The talk of the need to build giant, expensive liquefied natural gas ports has ended. Threats of a natural gas cartel formed by our adversaries are just so much gaseous talk. Our national security has been bolstered (if Europe taps their own substantial shale gas reserves, the threats from Iran, Russia, and Algeria will be empty). Even the Russians are fretting about our fracking, expressing concern that this revolutionary development will weaken their own power. There is so much shale gas waiting to be tapped that the dream of natural gas-powered vehicles can very well reach fruition.

Who could possibly want to throw a wrench into these bright prospects?
Low shale gas prices create a problem for the renewable energy industry and for the promoters of solar, bio-fuels, and wind power.

These alternative energy sources all have problems associated with them. They are vastly more expensive than gas. For example, generating a megawatt-hour of electricity using natural gas costs $80; with wind it would cost $142, and solar would cost $396. Wind power is intermittent, interferes with birds, and is terribly inefficient; ironically, wind farms often must be backed up with natural gas-powered plants. Solar farms have a huge footprint and must be located in sunny areas; huge transmission lines trigger the NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) reflex. Ethanol, created by refining corn, has caused a spike in food prices, may require more energy to produce than it creates, and depletes aquifers (corn is a thirsty crop).

Even nuclear power, recently touted by Barack Obama as a way to bolster his political prospects, has no chance of meeting our energy needs. Even if any plants are able to navigate through all the obstacles that have prevented the building of any new nukes for decades, they will take additional decades to go online -- if ever -- and will merely replace the old nuclear power plants being decommissioned.

The technology to meet our energy demands is just not there; but for shale gas production, the technology is ready to go and being used today.

Unlike shale gas that fills the coffers of communities and state governments, all those renewable ventures consume our tax dollars. They could not survive on their own merits. They get billions in grants, subsidies, and tax breaks. The clean-energy industry is among the biggest winners among stimulus money recipients. The windfall? Over thirty billion dollars (and counting), including millions flowing to a geothermal-drilling technology company that has its address at an empty office. Ethanol and bio-fuels get subsidies that, measured on a per-unit-of-energy basis, are 190 times any subsidies given to oil and gas, and the subsidies given to the former are on the way up, while the latter are on the way down. California force-feeds utilities renewable electricity at a price five times more than the current price of electricity.

Democrats pass mandates requiring that a percentage of power be generated by renewable sources, and they force utility companies to buy power from renewable producers at vastly inflated prices. Green jobs are absurdly expensive to generate; studies have shown that for every "green job" created by artificial subsidies, more than two jobs are lost in the real world. Most such green jobs are temporary. Barack Obama's dream to have them filled with felons reveals an agenda at work that has little to do with energy. Green jobs are just another government boondoggle.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Americans who hold acreage in the vast lands above shale gas fields are enjoying having their retirement needs met and their dreams of affording college for their kids and grandchildren fulfilled. Many of them are elderly farmers and are otherwise hard-hit. Should their dreams be denied so that well-connected venture capitalists and their political pals can become enriched with taxpayer dollars?

The federal government, under Barack Obama and his Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, is busy clamping down on leasing of lands with shale gas potential, toughening drilling rules, and imposing a bevy of taxes that will be recycled into subsidies and grants to their partners in the "renewable energy" racket. While he is turning off homegrown energy, Obama is helping China develop its own shale gas potential with technology developed by the American energy companies he wants to hinder.

Perhaps Barack Obama really is a true believer in climate change (despite the cascade of news stories showing it to be snake oil). Maybe we can nickname him President Moonbeam. Perhaps he just wants to punish Big Oil and Gas, many of whom are headquartered in that red state of Texas. Or perhaps there is an ulterior motive. When campaign time comes, the tax dollars gifted to the executives and venture capitalists behind these endeavors will be recycled back into the Democrats' campaign coffers -- one recycling program that does work all too well. Barack Obama was the top recipient of campaign funds from both alternative energy and environmentalists, and received two million dollars from the agribusiness sector (that includes ethanol producers) during his presidential run.

Robbing Peter to pay off Paul is not a path to prosperity.

Who pays the price for this obstructionism? America does. We have the ability to remake the energy profile of our nation, keep our homes warm, our factories buzzing, and our cars fueled up -- all with clean energy liberated from the rocks beneath our feet. All with our own technology. But not if the enemies of cheap natural gas have their way.

When history is discussed in the future, I'm sure the USA will be impossible to comprehend. By not developing our own energy supplies, we are setting ourselves up for economic disaster and possibly worse. Why are we trading boatloads of money for boatloads of oil? We could develop a cheap and reliable infrastructure keeping our wealth and building a stronger economy. The things that could be accomplished by America are easy to imagine. What will we do if we find ourselves cut off from the global sources? I think someone intends for us to find out, but then it will be too late.

Obama Retirement Trap - Mandatory IRAs

Mandatory IRAs just proposed by Obama Administration on 1/25/10 is the 1st step in stealth nationalization & forced investment of our retirement benefits to support the treasury debt market!

The largest source of liquid private wealth remaining in the United States is the $15 trillion in private retirement funds. The ultimate ownership, control and future of these funds has already been compromised and exchanged for the favorable tax treatment of private retirement plans. Congress writes the laws, so they can tax, penalize, hold your funds hostage and, although they'd never use the word "confiscate," use your assets at their discretion.

The retirement trap I'm writing about is only a proposal at the present time and since it may well begin in the latter years of the Obama Administration, assuming the Democrats can somehow maintain their majorities in Congress, I'm calling it the "Obama Retirement Trap." But make no mistake, the government need for current revenue and their frenzied search for liquidity to monetize their debt obligations is an unspoken quest of both political parties. The establishments of both political parties will do whatever it takes to stay in power, including the raiding and pillaging of your retirement funds.

I fear that today the control, nationalization and ultimate confiscation of trillions in private US retirement plan assets is on the horizon. Rick Santelli alluded to the possible nationalization and forced investment into treasuries on CNBC as recently as January 8, 2010. There was also similar coverage on Bloomberg and Business Week.

Taxation without Representation: TODAY

History is largely the story of men's constant efforts to get the wealth produced by other men, with politics and the state as the main means of acquisition. It's amazing that this ever-present dimension has been so slighted in most history books. Men have fought for power for many reasons, but the strongest has always been their own enrichment. It's hardly too much to say that the story of taxation is the story of mankind.

"Look at the law, and see if it does for one man at the expense of another what it would be a crime for the one to do to the other himself." Wow, think about this statement for a minute or longer until it sinks in.

The government, beyond the strictest limits of justice, becomes "organized plunder," a device by which "everyone seeks to enrich some at the expense of everyone else." Today, Obama and progressives want to take from the rich that have produced so they can redistribute it to those who don't produce. In other words, government itself tends to become the very evil it is supposed to prevent: crime. Government sets the rates, exempts certain people, gives entitlements, creates the intities to spend the tax dollars on and today, it spends the tax revenues of future generations. But it confuses people because it enacts criminal acts under the forms of law. I say, 'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did." So,....
How much is enough? What is the limit? At what point, short of taking 100 per cent of our earnings, do our rulers feel they are taking too much from us?

The obvious answer is that they recognize no limit. The subject never comes up. They view the taxpayer as an inexhaustible resource. As long as people work and have more babies, immigration (legal or otherwise) brings in more workers to tax, people seek to have food, clothing and real property and now, wish to live healthy...then the Gov has a way to impose and create spendable tax revenues to spend.

And why shouldn't they? The sad fact is that the American taxpayer is a remarkably passive creature. He merely grumbles at conditions far more oppressive than the tyranny that drove his ancestors to rebel against British rule in 1776.

One of the chief complaints of the American colonist was that he was taxed without his consent. Yet by today's standards, his taxes were amazingly low. Precise figures are hard to come by, but in 1764, for example, the average American was taxed by the Crown at the rate of sixpence per year. That is not a misprint. Six pennies per year. One penny every two months. Even adjusting for inflation, that is a pretty light tax burden. Today's children pay more than that in sales taxes for candy.

And the British were cautious about raising taxes. Even a slight tax increase, as on a commodity like tea, could bring the colonies to a boil. The Americans knew that a principle was at stake. Unlimited taxation could mean slavery. That is why they tried, at every turn, to nip it in the bud.

Under slogans like "No taxation without representation," Americans fought for independence and established their own governments. They thought self-government was their bulwark against tyranny and overtaxation.

The Lincoln administration imposed the first Federal income tax to meet the costs of the Civil War. But again, by our standards the rates were amazingly low: the basic rate was 3 per cent, with a top rate of 5 per cent. Even so, after the war the U. S. Supreme Court soon ruled that a Federal levy on incomes was unconstitutional.

In 1913 the Federal Government surmounted this obstacle by winning a constitutional amendment authorizing taxes on incomes. No upper limit was set, but most Americans were unaffected. "Incomes" were narrowly defined; an unmarried taxpayer had to make about $50,000 (in today's money) to pay the tax at all; and the top rate, a mere 7 per cent, reached only the very rich. It wasn't until after World War II that most Americans paid income taxes, but then the rates rose to their current punishing levels. And in recent decades most states have imposed income taxes too. Other taxes have also increased at dizzying rates.

At nearly every step, the government has had its way. Taxpayers have mounted only sporadic resistance, in what are often called "tax revolts." The phrase is significant. If our rulers are really our "servants," as self-government implies, why are the wishes of the ruled considered "revolts"? Can we "revolt" against our own servants? Or have they really become our masters?

Corrupt is "Government-run healthcare and car companies, White House coercion, uninvestigated ACORN corruption, bailouts for some banks and closing others, ignoring illegals yet give them 1st priority in HHS handouts, attacks on conservative media and the private sector, jeapordizing the value of the dollar, unprecedented and dangerous new rights for terrorists, requiring intruding questions on US Census, perks for campaign donors – this is Obama's 'ethics' record – and that's just the first year of his presidency." At what point do we shut this all down? At what point does 'treason' kick in?

At what point does taxation become confiscation, theft, and even involuntary servitude? Our rulers -- we may as well say our masters -- never address this point. The Ruler of the universe asks only 10 per cent of our wealth. Our earthly rulers won't settle for such a modest share. They consider us "greedy" for wanting to keep more of our own money; they consider themselves "compassionate" for wanting to take more of it -- 20 per cent, 40 per cent, why not 80 per cent?

Taxation has always been big business, the biggest business of government.
If the politicians had any respect for our rights, our property, our liberty, even our dignity, they would impose taxes only reluctantly, and they would acknowledge some just limit. They would act as if the money they take and spend is *our* money, to be used for the common good of all, and not for buying the votes of special interests and government dependents. In short, they would recognize that taxation is a *moral* issue, not a mere political convenience to be exercised arbitrarily and irresponsibly.

Take just one politician as an example: Taxpayers pay $101,000 for in-flight 'food & booze' on the jet provided to Nancy Pelosi, plus expenses of $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travel just in this first 2 years of her 4 yr term. Sweet girl that she is, she also spends $8,000 per month to florists for "like me now" bouquets, at her discretion.

Only one country has gotten it right: Switzerland. The Swiss have kept their government under control pretty well, in great part because they have had the wisdom to keep the taxing power and the spending power under separate agencies. The U. S. Congress taxes *and* spends. So we lack checks and balances where we most need them. Moreover, the Swiss federal government can't raise taxes without a popular majority, which is usually denied. The Swiss taxpayer, unlike the American, has learned to defend himself.

We can talk a lot about what's wrong, it's time to start focusing on what WE CAN DO to fix it, because nobody else is going to. Short of a RealTeaParty or Shots Heard Around the World, We can hit them where it hurts the most. Pay less taxes. We have to give them only 'one choice' and that is fiscal responsibility. Unemployment has already put a big dent in tax revenues. If the IRS can only send them so many dollars to play with, eventually they will have to come up with tax cuts to stimulate more jobs and a reason for us to even seek one. The more people who become self-reliant by any means and go off the grid financially, the bigger the impact we can make on how things are done in Washington.

The Speech Lecture

I don't know who the President was in '09, but whoever it was, the dude who made that speech last night sure ran hard against him.
"Do not walk away from HC reform," Obama pleaded with Congress in his first State of the Union speech. "Not now. Not when we are so close. Let us find a way to come together and finish the job for the American people."

The claim has been made many times that this administration has only had a year to clean up the mess of the last administration. I wish they would at least get started! He did the numbers in his speech, then said we need "fiscal discipline". So after a year of outrageous spending and reading off a long list of new programs and goals for year 2, he speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

It was a highly partisan speech. He spoke of working together, but then he went in for the kill with this to the Democrats “I would remind you that we still have the largest majority in decades, and the people expect us to solve some problems, not run for the hills.” Followed up with a hit to the Rebublicans...“If the Republican leadership is going to insist that sixty votes in the Senate are required to do any business at all in this town, then the responsibility to govern is now yours as well. Just saying no to everything may be good short-term politics, but it's not leadership.”
Obama vows to speak to Republicans. What? Because only NOW he NEEDS to? Can you imagine the content of this meeting?

So much bothered me, but I will limit it to the three below.

JOBS: This one bothered me the most. "We need to create jobs". No, we need the ones we had. We don't want to dig ditches as in roads and infrastructure, there are people who already do that. "Green Jobs? That's a whole new industry. I want my old job.The only way to create jobs for the long run is to create economic health. The only way to do that is to incentivize individuals in the free market to risk their own capital or borrowed capital try to make a profit. Also, last night Obama decried sending American jobs overseas, then reaffirmed his carbon tax that will do just that. The only way to create jobs is to strip away everything the Government has done to this point in the private sector...get out of the way!

MILITARY: I'm not sure I can remember a time when a Commander-in-Chief with troops actively engaging the enemy on several fronts, failed to thank the brave people who risk their lives to keep this nation safe. Hell Obama didn't even see fit to mention them for an hour, and then it seemed as though it was an afterthought. Sadly he didn't even have the military in mind when he said he wants to wave student loans for anyone who opts for a career in "public service". He then grandstanded with this statement,
“This year, I will work with Congress and our military to finally repeal the law that denies gay Americans the right to serve the country they love because of who they are. It’s the right thing to do.” I say, why can't we wait until there isn't 2 wars and a country recovery effort in Haiti that may take more more money and manpower than both wars combined. I think we have too much on our military plate to disrupt it 'socially'.

EDUCATION: Mr. Obama has no intention nor inclination to make the pivot right. He is a man consumed with the passion of his ideology, convinced that he is right & that he and his ilk know what this country needs. He talks about education reform as though there is not a school district in America that is performing well. His statist mentality was never more on display then when he said "The best solution for poverty is a world class education." I really think that his plan is also his solution to keeping new blood from hitting the unemployment lines by keeping them in school longer.
The idea that the President (and Dems) can create jobs works beautifully in their favor per their view of the world. It puts them in control to pull the strings on voter's livelihoods and keeps them dependent upon politician's whims.

After a year of showing us all what Progressive looks like, the American people have declared in three elections so far that they didn't vote for that. They wanted 'change' in DC and not in their homes. They wanted someone who would stop the bickering, secure our country and grow the economy. Obama scolded the Dems, the Republicans, the Military, the Supreme Court Justices and the American people for not understanding. That leaves just Him. Hmmmm. Wait, I thought he worked for us.

Obama is gathering his forces to try and prevent Democratic disaster this November.

WASHINGTON — President Obama is reconstituting the team that helped him win the White House to counter Republican challenges in the midterm elections and recalibrate after political setbacks that have narrowed his legislative ambitions.

Mr. Obama has asked his former campaign manager, David Plouffe, to oversee House, Senate and governor’s races to stave off a hemorrhage of seats in the fall. The president ordered a review of the Democratic political operation — from the White House to party committees — after last week’s Republican victory in the Massachusetts Senate race, aides said.

In addition to Mr. Plouffe, who will primarily work from the Democratic National Committee in consultation with the White House, several top operatives from the Obama campaign will be dispatched across the country to advise major races as part of the president’s attempt to take greater control over the midterm elections, aides said.

“We are turning the corner to a much more political season,” said David Axelrod, a senior adviser, who confirmed Mr. Plouffe’s role. “We are going to evaluate what we need to do to get timely intelligence and early warnings so we don’t face situations like we did in Massachusetts.”

Time to get your game on Mr President? Some call it Plan 'B'. Some call it Calamity Control.
Only the 'wise' will see the subtle changes being made in the days to come. What political strategies will be used to bamboozel the citizen's this second time around....after all, he thinks, they all think, the average citizen is gullible and stupid. Barrack lied all the while he campaigned, he has lied since, what can he do now that will be any different.....I suspect blackmail. There's already been a hint of it with the EPA stepping in if some kind of Cap & Trade is not passed. I believe bribes in the form of more welfare to the poor and amnesty to the illegals are the 2 ways they will get their votes, bipassing us regular tax paying citizens.

What kind of creative masterminding will Plouffe come up with to reverse the ever cognizant and aware people who were voting with their voices the day MA voted in 41-Scott Brown! Every State sat on the edge of their seats. The message has been sent. They deny the message, but they KNOW. The biggest drawback to the whole situation is that politicians, as well as the President, will now focus on alot of ass-kissing and venting blame, instead of keeping their eye on the ball.....their job. The USA will be on hold until November, stagnet and unaware of a bigger threat than losing a few Democrat seats. The economy and terrorism are going to sneak up and bite us.

Obama made over 400 speeches his first year. Starting with his State of the Union speech, let's all keep a real close eye on the demeanor and tone. Let's all remember the campaign lies, all the numbers and so called predictions they falsely used to back or justify the crap they have done so far. Be leary...if you find yourself relaxing, then you might just be getting sucked in, again.

The United Nations purposely recommends avoiding the term Agenda 21 and suggests a cleverly named alternative: "smart growth."

Participating in a UN-advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society such as the National Rifle Association, citizen militias and some members of Congress. This segment of our society who fear 'one-world government' and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined 'the conspiracy' by undertaking LA21. So, we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management, or smart growth [emphasis added].

Undoubtedly, residents of any town, county, or city in the United States that treasure their freedom, liberty, and property rights couldn't care less whether it's called Agenda 21 or smart growth. A recent example of this can be found in Carroll County, Maryland, where a smart growth plan called Pathways was drafted by the County Planning Department. The plan, if enacted, proposed a breathtaking reshuffling of land rights:

Rezoning of thousands of acres of beautiful, low-density agricultural farmland and protected residential conservation land into office parks
Down-zoning of agriculture land to prevent future subdivision by farmers
Up-zoning of low-density residential land around small towns into higher density zoning to permit construction of hundreds or possibly thousands of inclusive housing units, including apartments and condominiums
Inclusive housing with placement of multi-family construction on in-fill lots within existing residential single family communities
Endorsement of government-sponsored housing initiatives (subsidies) to ensure healthier, balanced neighborhoods

Carroll County, Maryland is one of 1,168 cities, towns, and counties worldwide that are members of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) - Local Governments for Sustainability, which is an international association of local governments as well as national and regional local government organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development. The ICLEI mission statement closely resembles that of Agenda 21. In fact, the ICLEI has Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council and coordinates local government representation in the UN processes related to Agenda 21.

Community leaders working together in Carroll County recently defended their county against overreaching smart growth initiatives. Richard Rothschild, a candidate for Commissioner, emphatically remarks, "Smart growth is not science; it is political dogma combined with an insidious dose of social engineering. Smart growth is a wedding wherein zoning code is married with government-sponsored housing initiatives to accomplish government's goal of social re-engineering. It urbanizes rural towns with high-density development, and gerrymanders population centers through the use of housing initiatives that enable people with weak patterns of personal financial responsibility to acquire homes in higher-income areas. This has the effect of shifting the voting patterns of rural municipalities from Right to Left."

Smart growth plans usurp property rights and constitutional rights. Local officials, at the behest of State Government, revise zoning laws to fit into a "smart code" zoning template. A massive reshuffling of property rights ensues. Farmers may lose subdivision rights; conservation land adjacent to population centers may be rezoned into commercial employment centers; and low-density land in small towns is re-designated as growth area and rezoned to accommodate diverse housing including high-density apartments and condominiums.

Finally, a healthy dose of federal- or state-sponsored housing initiatives is embraced to ensure communities are properly balanced. The net effect of these plans is to create highly urbanized population centers throughout otherwise-rural counties, while simultaneously limiting the availability of land for suburban and estate subdivisions, as these are considered an unsustainable waste of land by Agenda 21 disciples.

Clearly, smart growth plans will impact Americans' future choices in where and how they live. Furthermore, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other federal and state agencies may attempt to deny grant funds to states and cities that do not adopt smart growth plans.

Most Americans will remain unaware of the implications of smart growth and Agenda 21 until after it is promulgated in their own backyards. Ironically, these plans are more insidious than the Eminent Domain ruling by the Supreme Court in the case of Kelo v City of New London. Under Eminent Domain rulings, property owners usually receive compensation for their losses.

Conversely, smart growth municipal plans, required by statute, enable municipalities to change zoning laws and engage in other regulatory actions that devalue property, restrict off-conveyances, and otherwise erode property values without payment of any compensation to the property owner.

Smart growth has another interesting unintended consequence: it can disrupt conventional alliances and lead to strange political bedfellows. Rural urbanization plans may raise the ire of environmental groups while simultaneously stirring the wrath of both conservative and liberal residents that want to maintain the rural fabric of their communities. Conversely, developers, sensing opportunity, may side with government smart growth bureaucrats in support of these plans.

Regardless of political orientation, two indisputable facts remain. Agenda 21 is a direct assault on private property rights and American sovereignty, and it is coming to a neighborhood near you.

We are rapidly moving toward a dangerous time in our history. Society as we know it is vulnerable to political and social unrest.

The dollar, mismanaged by the Fed, has not been a benefit to the savers who sought to responsibly take care of themselves. They’ve been cheated by a rotten system and are just beginning to understand exactly how the Federal Reserve has been responsible for the swindle.
It’s impossible to predict the time when confidence will be lost, but it can come quickly. Resorting to buying other paper currencies will not be of much help. When the dollar crashes, most likely the purchasing power of all currencies – since all countries hold dollars as a reserve – will go down as well.

This means that dollars and other currencies will go into buying consumer items, precious metals and other physical properties. Consumer prices will soar, as well as interest rates. The central bank will lose control; and the more they inflate, the worse the confidence becomes. The interest rates will respond to these efforts by rising sharply.

If the Fed tries to reverse the run on the dollar, interest rates will also soar, and the pain on the American citizens will be of such proportion that political chaos will result. Either scenario leads to political and social chaos – the third event, and the most dangerous.

With no ability of the federal government to fund its commitments, international or domestic, major changes will occur in our system. The social unrest will elicit cries for government to exert unusual force to head off a complete breakdown of law and order. The ultimate trap will be set for a system of government claiming to protect a free society.

If more power and police authority are not given to the federal government, it will be argued that only anarchy will result. If more government policing power is given, it will mean a lethal threat to civil liberties. Already we have permitted the notion that a single person, the Attorney General or the President, can decide who is an “enemy combatant”, thus denying that individual the right to habeas corpus, permitting indefinite detentions without charges made. This attitude toward civil liberties has changed significantly since the fear built around 9/11.

Yes, I know, declaring one an “enemy combatant” is reserved only for the radical Muslims engaged in terrorism against the United States. To be reassured by this reasoning is quite dangerous and naïve. Logic should not lead us to equate suspects with terrorists, and include American citizens, and yet this has already been set by precedent. Under difficult circumstances, our political leaders will not be hesitant to use these powers to maintain order. Tragically, the people may even demand it.

We are rapidly moving toward a dangerous time in our history. Society as we know it is vulnerable to political and social unrest.

This impending crisis comes as a consequence of our flawed foreign and domestic economic policies, a silly notion about money, ignorance about Central Banking, and ignoring the onerous power and mischief of out-of-control intelligence agencies, our unsustainable welfare state, and a willingness to sacrifice privacy and civil liberties in an attempt to achieve safety and security from an inept government. Dangerous times indeed!

What can be done about it? Must we wait for the inevitable and expect to restore our liberties in a street fight against the overwhelming power of the state? Not a good option!

The only way that we can prevent blood from running in the streets is to offer a better idea of the proper role of government in a society that desires first and foremost liberty.

And that is impossible without a firm commitment by our thought leaders to the ideas of freedom, the source of all creative energy and prosperity. An all-powerful state is the threat to that ideal.

The prevailing attitude of the people, as it once was in early America, must be that of liberty and self reliance, rather than the nanny state and dependency, relying on government force to mold all private choices.

If this is understood, a smooth, although not painless, transition to a free society is achievable. Ignoring this option will be very destructive to everything that is dear to the hearts of most Americans.

What is it that we must do? We must immediately embark on:

*Balance the budget by reducing spending
*Change our foreign policy to that of non-intervention
*A full audit and more supervision of the Federal Reserve leading to abolishing
the Federal Reserve
*Legalize competition to the Federal Reserve with competing currencies
*Regain respect for civil liberties and privacy while reigning in the CIA
*Wean ourselves off the dependence of wealth transfers by government
*Abolish crony capitalism: no subsidies, no bailouts, no regulatory or tax
privileges to protect the powerful elite, especially the military-industrial complex
*Eliminate the income tax, inheritance tax and taxes on savings and dividends.

None of this can happen without the restoration of Congress to its dominant position of the three branches of government as was originally intended by the Constitution. The Executive and Judicial must be reined in, and Congress must assert its prerogatives over all legislation curtailing all unconstitutional agendae through budgetary controls.

Signs abound that angry Americans are now more ready than ever before for a change in direction that is indeed real. If this program were improvised, even suddenly and dramatically, the adjustment, though significant and to a degree somewhat painful, would be much shorter and of minor consequence compared to the chaos and poverty that will result if we refuse to change our gluttonous appetite for a free lunch.

Everyday of the last 365, we watched something scary-new happen in DC that was meant to be Change. This Change came as an aggressive assault on conservative values, a government with a push toward extreme progressivism. The Push was to cram as much into the first year as possible while the Democrats ruled the house.
Last night we watched the election results in MA and we are now one seat closer to taking away the power of a one sided House and Senate and putting it back toward true democracy, the American way. I think it's been pretty damn clear whose side the President is on. He's on the side of his sponsors. As far as I'm concerned neither he, nor any member of Congress should be seen in public without a jacket covered with the logo patches of their corporate sponsors.

Obama will do the same thing Democrats always do and think that he went too far instead of going far enough. And that's because the Rahms and all the other DLC idjits have that crap hardwired in their shortsighted brains and that's who he's listening to. You are who you hang with.

Everyone knows this HealthCare legislation is a gift to the insurance industry. Everyone knows it's all about paying for illegals. Everyone knows this bill is a stealth tax on the middle class. Everybody knows this legislation is a bunch of bullshit sprinkled with loophole-laden "benefits" and Union pandering. The Liberals claim it's unpopular because of the teapartyer's 'deficit' concerns and the fear of big government ...with the Constitution being stomped on.

Obama f---ed up. If he had fought (which is what he was elected to do) on the side of the will of the people with Change, those few Blue Dog Democrats who chose to stand against him would be the ones in danger of going down (strip Lieberman of his frickin' committee assignments already) instead of this presidency and the whole of the Democratic Party. He has only been playing with his A team and has left the rest of the elected Body on the bench. He's only playing with Half of his resources, what coach does that? Transparency joke and BiPartisanship lipservice lies aside, his leadership is a failure.

Oh, and the Congressional liberals don't get a pass -- you cowards stood by while the Reid/Pelosi wackos crafted this POS bill, all the while refusing to listen to your constituents. You could have gotten respect by threatening to derail the POS bill or demanding it be put together right, but you stood by murmuring discontent and voting for the Monster anyway. Either you stand behind the legislation or you don't. If it doesn't reflect the will of those who voted for you, you betrayed them. Period. You lost your base.

I understand Nelson's problem-NEBR hates HCReform --it's so simple, vote against the bill, but no... he is Democrat. Instead he votes for cloture and lets the bill proceed. It all boils down to being chicken-shit and not wanting to ruffle the feathers of the big birds in the D party. Just Screw Nebr, vote party then.....maybe make a Turkey deal home to feed the flock? Man, he forgot who the true Huskers are.

Lastly, What the hell is this obsession with saving the seats of the endangered Democrats, anyway? We are broke. It won't be any fun without money to play with. Might as well go home. Who wants to fight for the job anyway. If their constituents want a Republican then vote for one, if they better represent the views of their districts and states. Being a Democrat is not like being jumped-in by a gang and there's no way out. Being signed up for either party is not a Lifetime commitment. You have choices and the freedom to vote your MIND. Your Party, whichever you choose, is not a All or Nothing...win or loose, rah-rah go team. We should become Fans of the Players, pick the ones you can support by way of performance or stats. If GOP state Sen. Scott Brown defeats Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley in Today's election, it would put the seat held by the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in the hands of a committed opponent of the bill and deprive Democrats of the 60-vote majority needed to pass health care in the Senate.

Democrats are considering their options for health care should they lose in Massachusetts. One possibility is for the House to approve the Senate-passed version of the bill, despite House Democrats' numerous qualms with that version. This would send the legislation straight to the president's desk -- under the current process, by contrast, negotiators are trying to hammer out a compromise that both chambers of Congress would have to approve.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Tuesday expressed a willingness to consider taking up the Senate bill.

"I think moving ahead on health care is essential. ... I think clearly the Senate bill is better than nothing," he said. Asked if it would be possible to pass legislation in the 15-day mandatory window during which the Massachusetts election is certified, Hoyer said, "Yes."

Other alternatives, like a process called 'reconciliation', are still on the table and would require only 51 votes in the Senate instead of 60.

But that would mean rewriting the bill in such a way it could be treated as a budget measure and that means issues like preventing insurance companies from excluding pre-existing conditions would be taken off the table. Pelosi on Monday told supporters in San Francisco that she is pressing ahead with her role in getting the legislation to President Obama's desk.

Democrats of all different stripes have strong objections to the Senate-passed version of the bill for all sorts of reasons, including 41 House Democrats who voted for tough restrictions on abortion that are not matched in the Senate bill. This could very well be the first sign of the breakdown of the solid Democrat snowplow shoving this ObamaCare down America's throat.

Democrats would be better off starting over from scratch and inviting Republicans to draft a bill that will win actual bipartisan support — one that will spread the responsibility to all incumbents, and that will necessarily be smaller in scope. More Democrats seem to understand this, and continued efforts by Pelosi and Obama to force them to wear an obvious albatross around their necks in an election year will only undermine their claim to leadership. Expect a back-bencher revolt in the House to strip away the rest of these options in the coming days if Scott Brown wins the election, and for Democrats to quietly decide on a “hard pivot” instead to the economy.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Fewer Americans believe the presidency of Barack Obama, the first African American elected to the White House, has helped advance race relations compared with a year ago, a Washington Post-ABC News poll suggests.

The poll, published on the U.S. holiday commemorating civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., found 41 percent now say Obama's presidency has helped race relations, compared with 58 percent on the eve of Obama's inauguration a year ago who said his presidency would help race relations.

The decline was the sharpest among African Americans, with 51 percent now saying Obama has helped advance race relations, compared with 75 percent who, last January, said they expected Obama's presidency to help.

He delegates to them the responsibilty of Haiti so if there is 'bad press'for whatever reason, he can defer it to them.
